    How did you carry

How did you carry in your pregnancies.

I had a DS last yer and was all in the front

Im carrying a girl this time and im still carrying in the front...

Im interested to know how you carried with different sexes.

I know its a myth but i can see some common things in a lot of women every womean i know that had girls carried/put on weight all around and the ones with boys were all belly..

And as am carrying the same with both sexes - ide like to know your experience .

    Thanks M

I just had a round bump out front with both my boys - didn't put weight on anywhere else. Amongst my friends the ones who had girls tended to carry more weight all over.

To look at me you would have said I was all bump but I certainly put on plenty of padding on the old hips, bum and thighs!

Hey hun - I just posted a similar thread the other day! With Izzy I was all belly - very high, this time around I am carrying much lower and bigger, and everyone says oh wow you are definately having a boy - funny that! I've put a few pics in my gallery too to see the difference this time around compared to when I was pg with Izzy!

With DD my bump seemed to be higher & more round, didnt put weight on anywhere besides bump.

With this PG (boy) my bump seems to be lower & not as round, seems a little flat on the front haha. I havent put on much weight but as I was heavier when I fell PG this time I look more "fuller figured" than last PG.

I know the old wives tale about carrying different for different sexes but I think its just that some woman carry differently for their subsequent pregnancies which just so happens to be the opposite sex of the first IYKWIM. Maybe some womans muscles aren't as toned etc so bump looks different (I think thats whats happened in my case LOL)

With my 1st, 3rd and 4th pgs I had a more pointy looking belly - certainly not a nice round ball - more of an egg shape LOL. With my 2nd pg I had a lovely round shape, but this was the pg where I gained the most weight (27kg) but I wasn't as big as I was with the other 3 in the belly - it was just evenly spread out over my body. I also tend to carry quite low too - but all of them were out in front kwim? I think my shape was determined by their length - 1 3 and 4 were all really long (56, 57 and 59) so they would have needed more space in there to fit I suppose, but my 2nd was my shorty (52) and could curl up smaller in there. For the record 1 and 4 were boys and 2 and 3 were girls

I carried the same with all mine. High & all baby. With DS I did get the waddle for the first time. Had to keep reminding myself that people weren't laughing at me!

I did upload my belly pics - 3 - this morning. Late - Bub's 3 months old, but I wanted to show them off & only just found them.

I gained weight all over (boobs, bum, thighs, hips) but had a reasonably small belly/bump - had a boy. Am carrying exactly the same for this pregnancy, don't know sex though. Most of weight is also gained during the first half of pregnancy for me too. I think it's more related to the woman carrying the baby rather than the sex of the baby. I never understood how the presence of absence of a willy would make a women carry differently!

I'm all out front and am carrying a boy (100% certain as we had an amnio). My SIL carried all around and she had a girl.

    Talking

Everyone was convinced I was having a BOY

... As they all put it ' because I was carrying all front ', ... yep nothing on the sides ... and I was never low - I was always carrying high

Well, as you have probably guessed ... I had a GIRL ... So, there goes that ' myth ' or old wives-tale out the window

I put on 8.5kilo's ( was informed that the average woman can put on between 9 to 13kilo's ) ... so, I was wrapt to say the least

... Though DP & I agree she is such a tomboy & a pretty one at that
