    How did/would you announce?

So, I'm getting totally ahead of myself and daydreaming about how I'll tell Professor and everyone else when I'm finally pregnant Positive thinking, right?

Did anyone plan something in advance? If so, what? And if you haven't yet, what WOULD you do?

I've always wanted to announce it to DH in a fortune cookie that I have made but he has always been right there next to me when I have found out - except for one time when I was at work and I just blurted it out over the phone.

Usually I just blurt it out. This time, I got a 'grandparents' photo fram and put photos's of all the grandkids in it, and then cut out a silloute in paper and stuck that in too, with the words "coming soon....Due 8/10/11..."

With the twins DP was with me and I just kept hitting him on the arm while watching the 2nd line appear.. This time, I sent a pic of the positive test and wrote: I think we should see each other today, I'll pick you up after Tafe. BTW do you like the pic.. Hde called back and said "What is it?" I replied "It's a f...ing positive pregnancy test!" It kinda ruined it Lol.. The line was feint though.. I also sent it to my friend though and she knew straight away... Men!

With Cooper I sent a picture of the positive test to mum and she said 'should I be excited?' lol well duh I wouldn't send a pic of a negative test lol, with pickle it was the night we were celebrating DFs 21st so I pulled him aside showed him the test and said 'happy birthday' needless to say he didn't stop smiling the rest of the night

On BellyBelly. I kept it quiet until 10wks then uploaded my pregnancy avatar. That was my pregnancy with Ashton. Only a select few knew.

To tell Andrew when I was pregnant with Ashton. He heard the "Oh ****" come out of the toilet LMAO.

With Kameron our first born. I took a the positive pregnancy test to Mum's and told her she was looking at her newest grandchild to be. I think with Andrew I just blurted it out and started crying, and I pretty much did the same for Lachlan lol.

You're right - I'm gonna be so disappointed I think, pregnancy and bub raising can't possibly be as awesome as I've made it in my head!

Sadly my announcements have always been immediately followed with a 'but....', or I didn't know until I lost the bub That's why I wanna make my next one extra special, I don't wanna be saying anything but good things!

Ah, I never got to 'announce' it like a normal person. Except on BB. But I was too scared to do that really.
I would love to surprise DH with an announcement out of the blue. That would be great - nothing fancy, just a Guess what?!

Even though we did IVF, I was able to surprise DH with my positive test.

My BT was scheduled for the Wednesday, but Monday morning I had to go to the shops for work. I decided to buy a test to prepare myself for Wednesday's result.

I didn't tell DH I was testing and didn't want to tell him it was positive over the phone. There was no way i could wait until he got home from work so I grabbed my wallet, phone and the test, yelled to my receptionist that I was going out for a while.

I drove into the City and called DH from outside his work and asked him to come outside. He walked out thinking I was going to tell him AF had arrived. He got in the car and asked what was wrong. I told I wanted to show him something, as we often joked that pg tests with 2 lines didn't really exist. I handed him the positive test and we both promptly burst into tears.

It was an awesome moment and tear up every time I retell the story.

Yea I'm hoping to do the same. DH knows my blood test is on fri, so i'm hoping i get something before that so i can still surprise him. unfortuantly my parents are coming to visit (actually good they are coming to visit) but they will be here the day i have to do my blood test...so i cant really surprise them properly, cause they will know i will have my results that afternoon..

With DS, DH had already decided I was pg (he has his own way of testing ) so it wasn't a surprise really!
DH recons he has his own way of testing too, with his ex he said he knew before her for a majority, but i think because i am expecting it ill get it before his test will work =P

I always used to buy DH little gifts of chocolate so when I found out I was pg I got a gift bag and filled it with funsize kit-kats and my positive pregnancy test. He was so excited with his chocolates that he didn't really see the pg test and while eating the chocolate saw it in there and was like 'what's this?' with chocolate in his mouth LOL then he figured it out. With my parents I told them in person, with friends two found out by accidentally finding my positive tests, and my two best friends I called and told the news

For DH he was right there with me when I tested. Well not in the bathroom but you get what I mean..
Yeh me too, for both. Though for DD, I did the test, left it in the bathroom, then went about my business and it was DH who went and checked it and said "it's positive!" and I didn't believe him!!!

With DS, DH had already decided I was pg (he has his own way of testing ) so it wasn't a surprise really!

I wore a "baby on board" sign and stood up in a skype conversation to tell my folks about dd, DH was there for testing.
DS I tested by myself and rang him to say "I just wanted to tell the father of my children that I love him" blubber blubber.
    It's so much fun.
You could get daddy merchandise. Some very cute stuff around. Go on a date and present him with a pressie. A reality tv couple, maybe farmer wants a wife? Got a box and put three peas inside as they had always said they were two peas in a pod. Cute... Apparently so the woman's mag told me (must be true) he know straight away.
Keep daydreaming! I too dreamt of it for a long time and it was even mote awesome than id dreamt.
