I've put on 9kgs so far (into week 38 now). I knew I could stand to gain less because I carried a bit extra in the beginning, but I got worried that in the last 6 weeks I haven't gained a thing. I mentioned it to my Doctor though and he's really happy with my weight. Fundal height is still going steady, there's lots of movement, so as long as everything is good and healthy the numbers don't really mean much! So I guess as bubs gains a bit, I'm losing a bit somewhere else - sounds good to me!
I've put on 17 kg and lost it all within weeks of DS arriving as I often forgot to eat It was all belly and baby for me, I didn't put on the weight anywhere else. Now I'm trying to put the weight back on and get to pre pg weight so I am as healthy as I can be before we start treatment again.
I put on 9 kgs but had lost it all by the time he was a couple of months old...then lost another 9kgs (putting it down to bfing). Not so great when I was a size 6-8 to start with! On the plus side, I have gained 1kg in the last few weeks, so hoping to gain a little bit more when I stop bfing! I found I went through 'growth spurts' where I'd gain heaps at once, then hardly anything for a while...
i put on 20kgs with DS, was all gone in about 6 weeks, he was a 9 pounder too
this time ive put on 8kgs so far but i lost 8kg from 4-14 weeks being so sick, so i lost 8kgs in 10 weeks then put on 8 kgs in 10 weeks lol! hoping to only put on about 7-8 more but u do lose it pretty quick so im not toooo worried lol
I was of the mindset that pregnancy is the only time in your life that you can be fat and eat whatever you like.....never again! I have lost 20 kgs, but am struggling to lose the last 10
This one.. 15 kg so far. Its getting to me as most of you know I lost 50kg in hope to get pregnant and its hard watching the scales go back up. But as I see it, ive lost it before, i can do it again...
Every time i get pregnant i have put on 5kgs before i get a BFP. I don't know why, or what happens. I don't change my eating habits as such i have a good diet that isn't that different to when i'm not pregnant. I am a fat storing machine. Fortunately i am motivated to lose it all afterwards and haven't had too may issues getting there. Fingers crossed it's as easy this time.
But the best thing is my OB has never once weighed me. He told me as long as i have a healthy diet there is no point weighing me.
ETA- Leesa i read your blog a while back and wondered if you managed to stick to your goal. Sounds like you did ok.
With DS I was 2kg lighter at 42 weeks than I was pre pregnancy due to m/s the whole way through, and when he was 8 days old I weighed myself and was 6kg lighter than I was pre pregnancy,
I ended up getting back to my exact pre preg weight before I fell pg again but so far at 9 weeks I've lost 3kg once again due to m/s
With DS1 i lost 5kg first trimester and put on a total of 12kgs and with DS2 i lost 3kgs first trimester and put on a total of 12kgs - thats from first weigh in so prior to losing anything. This pregnancy i put on 2kg first trimester... the eating constantly kept the nausea somewhat at bay I'm definately into a better eating pattern now i'm past 14 weeks and hopefully only gain around the 12kgs again.
I put on about 17kg with my first pregnancy - this is my third pregnancy (we lost the 2nd one early on) and I'm only 9 weeks, but absolutely astounded at how much of a protruding belly I already have! It's ridiculous! I'm so unprepared for all this early stretching and growing and am trying to scramble some comfy pants and tops together so I don't have to keep holding my jeans together with hairties to accommodate my waistline! Crazy
