Eeek! A tricky one. The salad is normally pre-prepared which is a no no. Plus you don't know how long the meat has been sitting there for. So no, from a shop.

If you were absolutely desparate, my work-around solution, would be to get a meat only kebab from a reputable high turnover shop, nuke it before you eat it and add your own freshly prepared salad.

Millions of middle eastern women have eaten kebabs throughout history and had healthy babies!
I think you need to work out what risks you want to take, for each of us its different.

I would just worry about them using the 'fallen meat', the meat that sits down in the tray....., pre made salad= listeria

I'm sure chilli & garlic kill the bugs, right...?

I think you should just go with whatever you're comfortable with. It's your tummy & baby

I have, both in this pg and with MJ.

I watch them prepare mine, and as i have chicken, they chop it off and then put it on the grill (i tell them i want it really hot) and its just a practice they have anyway.
My shop that i go to has a high turn over and is always really clean (and my DH made the fridges in there so i know that they work really well and are new)

So long as it's all prepared in front of you and the meat is hot, I don't see an issue I zap everything in the microwave when I get home anyway.

I am craving kebabs so badly too!!

I personally wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole due to listeria risk - but many do, so if you are comfortable with it, go for it. mmmmmmm kebabs i have told DH i want him to bring me one the day after i have this bub hehe.
