You think. You've got low anaemia before you're pg - you're going to have it during pg.

You become a vessel for the creation of another human being (which takes A LOT of effort for your body) and your blood is going to the baby - including all of its iron.

I think of myself as a bit of a secondary vessel when pg (not to other people but to nature). I'm an incubator and nature takes the goodness out the incubator before making sure the incubator has electricity.

My DH calls the baby a "parasite" - which I know sounds harsh, but there is an element of reality to it.

Apparently I'm feeling phylo.... phylo..... (darn, I can't spell that word).......like comparing stuff to irrelevant objects - like incubators.
