I had bleeding when pregnant with all of my babies apart from my first.
With DS2 I was sooooooooo concerned as I had a crampy & heavy feeling in my tummy, and then I would bleed. I bled for 3 days before I sought help and when I did I was given an ultrasound which showed a perfect little bubba. He is now almost 3
Wishing you all the best. If you're still concerned, I would call your Dr up and demand a referral for an US.
Keeping you in my thoughts
Good to hear things are ok, definately take advantage of your days off work and rest. Think positive thoughts and will your little one to grow big and strong. And like you said, don't spend any negitive thoughts of DP right now either just get through the next few days and worry about him in a little bit
I bled at about 6 weeks, and it was quite light bleeding, pinkish, though it continued for maybe two days, and now I have a beautiful perfect 3 week old baby, also had a normal delivery and pregnancy was all normal.
In my very first pregnancy, I had a miscarriage. The difference in the type of bleeding with my miscarriage pregnancy, and my healthy one, is huge. With the miscarriage, I started bleeding bright red blood, and a steady flow. basically exactly like having my period. It was about a pad every two hours, and gradually progressed to one an hour.
So that's the difference between when the bleeding should or shouldn't worry you.
I hope all is well and you aren't stressing out of your mind!
Glad to hear the bleeding has settled but surprised your GP didn't send you for u/s today. Pitty your DP isn't a bit more supportive, lucky your mum is there for you.
Nah, the staff at the public hospital AND my GP were completely *against* me 'wasting resources' by having another u/s when I was spotting/bleeding during pregnancy. Even when I had a miscarriage the doctor at the hospital refused to give me an u/s. 'If the bleeding's that bad, I'd say it's a done deal, no point tying up the u/s tech when I can just get you back tomorrow for a blood test to confirm'...
I'm always flabbergasted at the amount of u/s's YOU girls seem to get during your pg's lol... I seriously think I would have had to have been in a pile-up in a freeway to get a check-up u/s from any doctor I saw during either of my pregnancies - I had to even fight to get dating scans at the beginning of my pg's (I just wanted to see my little beans growing, I didn't actually care about the dates lol)
Have been thinking of you, FirstTime... hope you're feeling better and that your mind is more at ease. Rest up, give DP a smack round the back of the head and try not to stress too much! Glad all appears to be well.
Yeah im with Glamourcide, i dont think he would have made me get one unless he thought it was an emergency. Maybe if i had of went to the hospital but they also base on how urgent it is.
I had bleeding twice in this pregnancy, early on. I have had a miscarriage in the past so the first sign of blood I panicked and we went in to see them at the Royal Womens Hospital in the city. They didn't give me an ultrasound (it was a sunday night) but told me to ring back on TUESDAY to book in for one wtf? I was really peed off with this. I ended up having to go to a doctor to get a referral for an u/s 3 suburbs away (as they couldn't squeeze me in at my docs) which ended up costing me $100, was not impresssed!!
Other than that time, and a couple of weeks later no more bleeds and nothing is wrong with bubba
I'm sorry you have to wait so long to have an ultrasound, I hope time goes very quickly for you! *hugggies*
Sounds like the bleeding has stopped and all is fine. I too am surprised that you didn't get sent for an U/S or at the very least some bloodwork to make sure all was ok. Take it easy for a few days and try not to worry.
Hun if you are concerned that there is something wrong tell your doctor you want an ultrasound. It is your body & your baby, if you need to see your little bubba on that screen for peace of mind you do it.
