I'd definitely be calling the hospital to inquire and I would think they would want you to come in to check things out. Even if it is nothing, better to be safe and make sure.
It's really important to phone the hospital and they will definitely want you to come in.
It sounds like it's amniotic fluid and it doesn't always gush!
At 35 +2 days yes your baby is a lttle early but not so early that it will cause problems. She will very likely breathe on her own and she will stay in SCU for a night or so until they are happy she is doing all the right things. Some babies born around this time will be a bit jaundiced and need some phototherapy.
Unless there is aother reason - just being born at 35 weeks will not necessarily nean you will require intervention.
Pop those clothes in the machine and then the dryer and you will be on your way to the hospy in an hour! Pack your bag and enjoy this great adventure into motherhood!
Thanks ladies. Called the hospital and am going in now. Just hope they'll let me come home again to see if I can go into labor spontaneously. Still feeling a bit disorganised and stunned but I figure that's bound to happen.
good luck , we are all here for you xx
try not to stress or it will make things worse ...
heres hoping your little girl arrives safe and well , no matter what day she chooses xxxx
You've probably gone to the hospital already... but if it's any reassurance, I gave birth to my son at 36 weeks and he has done fine. I was told that babies born at 35 weeks generally do better and come out of hospital faster than those born at 36 weeks. We were in for 10 days, chances are good that your baby will be able to come home much quicker. It will all be ok. Good luck!
You will be fine - enjoy it and dont worry about your clothes etc - i am sure there is someone who can help you out with all the unfinished business ??
My waters broke at 29 weeks. I was admitted straight in, given pink tablets to stop contractions and thhe steroids (for ds lung development). We spent just under 5 weeks in hospital and then our son was born just under 34 weeks. I had no gush just 4 days of trickle and thought it was weak bladder!
You are doing the right thing going to hospital.. At your dates your bub will be good on th lung front and the only risk woul be infection. i went 5 weeks and he had no infections... past 34 weeks is excellant as bub is for the main part fattening up :-)..
We spent i think another 4 or 5 weeks in hospital after, ds had a little oxygen but was mainly because he was tiny and tube fed until he could suck a little. a week in high dependancy and the rest in special care (thats in the NIC).
Ohh and my labour was so quick it was drug free. they encourage a vbirth..
