DS - cheeseburgers, chocolate Quik, fresh fruit and salad... went off coffee and garlic
This pregnancy has been plain burger (breadroll, meat, sauce), KFC twisters, cheese naan, lollies (strawberry and creams or redskins)... haven't really gone off anything yet

With DD I went completely off red meat, and even the thought of tomato sauce made me sick! I lived on cereals and nashi pears, yoghurt, crumpets (with vegemite, nutella or peanut butter) and cheesy packet pastas. I can't even tell you how many boxes of just right and tubs if vanilla yoghurt I went thru, it's a bit scary lol

DS- watermelon, the hottest vindaloo or curry i could get and crusty baguettes with butter, ham and cheese- not really turned off anything

DD- almond magnums and ice cold water

this bubba- so nauseaus- so off meat and almost everything rich, desperate for citrus- eaten probably 100kg of mandarines already. Callipos - lemon of course, home made lemonade and acidic things like tomato based sauces. Curry is a winner again and the old hame and cheese.....

Both times round, I never really had cravings, instead I had adversions... All meat was out, including fish. Then there was eggplant, garlic, onion, banana's couldnt stand the smell of cigarettes or alcohol on anyone.. Actually there was heaps that I couldnt do, only passionfruit and mandarins could stop the morning sickness and I virtually lived on those for the first half of the pregnancies.

    Both times I had girls.

I do remember having some massive arguments with MIL about my lack of eating meat throughout both pregnancies, she swore I wasnt getting all the good stuff that meat has in it.. I proved my point that you dont need meat to be healthy with my blood results that came back with the highest levels the midwives had seen in quite a few years! That still brings a smile everytime I think about it

    *bump!*

I'm 11 weeks with my first. At first I had no nausea per say but had zero appetite and could only bear to eat beige and neutral coloured foods - toast, cheese, potatoes, pasta etc.

At about 8 weeks I became ravenous overnight with a massive sweet tooth. I wanted nothing nutritious and everything sweet or fattening lol.

Now I'm more balanced but having or thinking a lot more about milk, yoghurt, butter, strawberries, cheese, avocado and vegemite.

With my DD early on I absolutely craved anything green!! Was so weird, I lived on green grapes, green apples (which I don't normally like), those crunchy green pears and edamame...guess it was healthy?! Toward the end I was big on slurpees - cold icey goodness, and vegemite on toast! The only thing I went off early on was coffee, normally can't get enough of the good stuff

What is the link to cravings and gender? Are there some foods that are supposed to indicate a boy or girl?

I lived on honey toast for the first three months with DS1 and those yummy strawberry choc freddo's - i would eat a whole packet.

DS2 i enjoyed sweet things but nothing over the top.

This pregnancy i've craved vegemite but couldn't touch carrots in the first four month, they just tasted like poison. We are having a girl too!!

DD if I remember rightly was curried egg sandwiches with grated carrot and as much milk as I could get my hands on. I don't really remember going off anything in particular, except food entirely in the first trimester as I paid homage to the porcelain goddess at pretty well everything before settling in to throwing up a few times a week for the rest of the pregnancy.

This time - cravings include milk, maccas chips, cheese, olives, green veggies, vegemite and I'm very susceptible to smell - if I smell something tasty I *Have* to have it. Aversions so far are excessive garlic (especially if it's stale stinky garlic breath), cigarettes (not that I ever liked them, but now they make me want to barf), soft drinks, coffee, blackcurrant lollies and ginger. Having a boy this time

    DD2 Craved fish

This one wholemeal bread and vegemite (no butter), beetroot, musk sticks.

LOL No, some people say that if you crave a certain type of food its meant to give you an indication of gender but there is NO SOLID PROOF whatsoever. I just started this for a bit of fun, my cravings have been different each pregnancy to this point.
