Unhappy More pg questions! Ridiculous Bloating :(

I am 25 weeks and by the end of the day I am so bloated I look almost full term! I don't drink cows milk anymore since before I was pregnant because of this reason. My belly feels so tight and extremely uncomfortable. I eat small meals, don't drink fizzy drink, try stay away from gassy foods. Today i had special K for breakfast and a crumpet for lunch with a cup of tea. And it only happens after about 4pm, every night. I haven't eaten in 3 hours and it has all of a sudden popped. What is going on? Is this just normal? It's horrible

Sounds pretty normal to me! If I eat too much I look massive as well, however it doesn't sound like you're eating 'too much'..? In fact, a bowl of cereal and a crumpet until 4pm sounds like not much at all! Your digestive system has probably slowed down and food is moving through you slower leading to bloating, I wouldn't worry too much about it unless you've put on a lot more weight than is recommended.

It's normal to look bigger as the day progresses. Are you sure it's bloating? Gravity makes your tummy muscles relax more throughout the day so by bed I was always loads bigger.

Your example diet sounds like not enough protein or veggies. Maybe swap the carbs for more protein?

Yeah normal to look bigger at the end of the day. But I'd be looking at eating more that's not very much, especially increasing protein intake like Arcadia said.

If it is hormonal bloating, protein is really good for it - and there's not a lot of fibre in what you'd eaten to help your digestive system, so more fruit and veg, too.

Thanks for your replies ladies I hadn't eaten much yesterday because I was busy at work, but even then when it comes to the end of the day i just feel so full and heavy that I actually don't feel like eating at all. I will usually have cereal, home made soup or a salad and cheese roll, bit of chocolate, a snack when I get home like toast or youghurt and then dinner.
I will try more fibre and protein. Going food shopping today

I have been having the same issue!! So very very uncomfortable!! I found a tablet called DeGas which is safe during PG and it does help with wind and bloating. I am also keeping a food diary to see if I can spot a trigger food for it.
Good luck and I'm right there with ya!

Agreed - cut back on wheat/processed wheat products and more fruit and veg. Plenty of water too.

Milk was a big trigger for me. I drink light soy and it seems to be helping. And I bought like a whole kilo of pears and haven't stopped eating them!
