I really cam empathise. With my first, the only thing I could keep down was burger rings. It took ages to be able to do the 8 week ultrasound because I kept throwing up the water and there wasn't enough getting to the bladder.

Our bodies are capable of taking the beating that comes with normal morning sickness for some time - but if this is completely interfering with your ability to eat then talk to your GP.

Normal Morning Sickness should not stop you from being able to eat and keep some food down. The more severe form can. It can also last the entire pg, which you really don't want. I have managed to limit how bad my HG was this time round with a system born from 5 pgs experience, lol.

I have Multi-B in my bag. One a morning. The Multi-B can't harm you (but never ever take tablet form Vit A while pg). Give that a little while to stay down and take it with as little fluids as possible. Next you need something thats going to soak up the excess stomach fluids doing the hokey pokey in your stomach. Dry foods only work. Sad saying it like that. Anyway this is what I am having at the moment:

Breakfast: Toast with a bit of butter and vegemite (Folate and more B6).
Lunch: Saladas with butter and vegemite.
Dinner: Normal (Unless its Mince, of which I have completely lost the ability to stomach).

Usually its enough to help me eat a full dinner and keep it down, although one of my hard and fast rules is if in the middle of eating ANY of that, I feel I need to be sick. Stop eating immediately. Don't fight it - it just makes you feel worse, let it happen. Usually once you have expelled that lot, you can keep the rest down. Some nights though I just can't finish the dinner at all because its sending my gag reflux wild. Just do what you can.

If it doesn't stop at the beginning of the second tri - then revisit with your doctors how to best cope. And keep an eye on your weight. If you are losing more than 2% of your pre-pregnancy body weight a week, then your doc needs to help more.

Cheers
