Ugh, I had terrible morning sickness with both pregnancies - all day, kept me up all night because I wanted to throw up, couldn't keep anything down, and lasted until nearly 20 weeks both times.
My solution the first time around was Vegemite. Spread about two inches thick on toast every morning, washed down with milk. It was all I could stomach. And since I couldn't bear handling raw meat or cooking smells while sick, dinner usually involved a choice of McDonald's, KFC or pizza. I wouldn't recommend it though... didn't seem to do DD any harm but obviously it's not ideal. I just couldn't bear being around most food and DH is only capable of toast and fried eggs, so I couldn't depend on him to do anything but get to the drive-thru and back
This time around, I'm better with the home-cooked food (Yaaay, I can chop up raw chicken! I rule!), but mornings are still hard. Strong (as in, thick as mud) tea with plenty of sugar to start with, then whatever I see in the fridge or pantry that doesn't make me gag on sight (it varies from day to day).
The dry crackers on the night table thing never, ever worked, and even plain water kept coming back up on me.
I think sugar is my secret to overcoming morning sickness, but obviously what works for one...
There are some good tips so far so hopefully they can help you more than I can!! Congrats, and best of luck. Hope you feel better soon
