    yes hun its normal.
its the ligaments that run from hip to thiigh relaxing.
i suffered bad from this felt like my hips were going to drop out of place lol

my remedy was sitting on a hard chair adn leaning forward slightly for a bit and heat packs

When you go to your care provider next, mention it to them. Try not to lean back (like in a recliner) or have your legs apart - your hips are being kept together by muscle, so any undue stress will hurt. Good luck

Sounds like the beginning of Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD). I get this too. It's where the ligaments become a little too stretchy and can eventually feel like someone has taken a running kick right into the vag - not pleasant. I found the best way to deal with this is to sleep with a pillow between my knees, I wear a support belt to help hold me together, and I also see my osteopath (who is awesome!!), and I swapped the couch for a fit ball. The quicker you get onto it the better.

It could be just normal stretching pains, but as Yeddi says it could also be the start of SPD. It's very common to get pelvic pain in pregnancy, there is a thread http://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums/...atter-1-a.html that you might get some useful tips from.

It's definately normal darl I've had it ever since I was 6wks 3d preg with DS... and he's almost 20 months old now!
Unfortunately for me, I also have issues with the ligaments and muscles around the joint as well, which started in the pregnancy with DS and got worse after he was born, yet no doctor has been able to explain to me yet what is exactly wrong or what is causing it, though Fybromyalgia has been mentioned, my doctor wont do any tests because he isn't a specialist.
It's been made worse in this pregnancy, so I just have to take it easy and try not to do too much or I'll sieze up.
You haven't got long to go now And it should clear up in the 3 months after bub is born
