For sure!!!!
The amount of people I know who have only 10mths or so between them and their sibling means its very possible.
I have heard that although breastfeeding is a natural contraception, it really only works really efficiently if you feed 100% and have a regular pattern for feeds. As soon as baby misses a feed (could for some people even be just the one bottle - i think even if it was from expressed milk) can interupt the way your body is reading the signals and it can start to prepare itself for thinking you should be fertile again!!!
...i think this is where many of those mums in the 60s and 70s slipped up - not knowing that. They were simply told if they BF they couldnt get preg!!
Also my midwife told me that after your first baby often people find they their body has increased fertility - like it knows what to do now. But not sure how true that is - took us yrs to get preg again.
My mum conceived 6 weeks after having me. There is 10 months b/w me and my sister.....she wasnt breastfeeding, i think that has a lot to do with it too....
Thanks to all of you who responded.
Looks like the chances could be a slight yes that we could be pregnant again - I wouldnt mind at all. I had a great birth , but thats not to say that I will have an easy 2nd pregnancy when it happens
Id be happy if we were , so would my husband
If not , we will be trying for Number 2 by the end of the year
When it happens , It happens I guess
