So I am 10wks 5days today and I am feeling like my belly is a lot bigger then it should be.
All of the pregnant women I have personally seen develop and grow haven't presented a stomach until they were around 17wks to 20wks. Plus everything I read on Dr.Google tells me I shouldn't have a belly yet.
Would love to hear how your belly grew and at what stages of your pregnancy you began noticing the beautiful belly.
Xo
Mine's only started to show in the past few days (23 weeks now) - but I've been having the opposite worry of you, that I'm not big enough! If you google 'pregnancy photos week ...' you'll get a whole range of bellies I'm sure yours is right for you!
It is VERY normal and common to develop a belly early. I had a very noticeable bump at 10 weeks with my DD by 15 weeks i couldn't see past it. EVERY woman is different so you shouldn't compare yourself to anybody else and don't listen to Dr google.
Sounds to me you have a very healthy little baby growing inside of you its amazing watching how fast your body changes during pregnancy.
With both my boys i was quite small belly wise and still didn't look noticeably pregnancy at 6 months. This time i showed really quickly and now at 29weeks i think i'm on par with how i looked and felt at full term with the boys - should add this ones a girl
I thought I was huge very early the first 2 times, but when I look at photos from 12 weeks there is hardly any bump noticable even in my tight tops. I think you always feel bigger than you look to other people. I was big early this last time (noone said anything at the time but a number of people said they had known for ages after I announced it at 12 weeks), but then by half way I was normal size for 20ish weeks. You may find you don't get much bigger than you are for quite a while.
Early on it is just bloating... gotta love hormones!! Your uterus will start to move up early in the second trimester and you will get a proper preggo belly. In the meantime try not to worry about how your belly compares to anyone else's. Your body will do what it is supposed to do when you are pregnant and there isn't much that you can do about it.
My body explodes with pregnancy. Last time people could tell I was pregnant from about 6 weeks, not cos I had a belly but because my hips spread and my boobs blew up. I had to buy maternity pants at 13 weeks cos there was no way I could fit into anything.
This time around I'm 7 weeks and the same thing has happened. I'm still wearing my jeans but they are pretty tight. I think I might have another week or two in them before they're too tight.
Everyone is different. I do think if you are more petite in your stature you're more likely to show sooner, there's simply less room. I have a friend who is 6.5ft tall (or similar) and even at 35 weeks she just looks like she's eaten a big bowl of pasta. From memory last time round she didn't even had to buy any maternity clothes, she was able to make do with what she had.
Anyway, my point is everyone is different. Our bodies deal with these things in their own way.
I started showing with DS at 12ish weeks. This one, I've not really started showing till 15ish weeks cause I've got plenty of excess skin leftover from my boy that until now, it's not looked anything like a bump

I'm only 10 weeks and I have definately 'popped' early this time! I have a definate pot belly that I can't suck in and people are starting to notice! I do think most of it is bloating tho like already mentioned. I think last time I really popped at about 18 weeks. Don't worry about it! Embrace it! It's nice to have a belly and see your body changing
