I've been there in the rains season and it's actually not too bad. Wear areoguard always just in case but my family never had any problems.

To be perfectly honest, the wet London winter I experienced in 2007 was far worse than an Indonesian rainy season.

It's very tropical so gets humid and yes wet but I never experienced monsoonal type rains.
