hmm... in the standard letter from my OB, he says Glucose drinks are often well tolerated. People try Lucozade and even coke. (This is for coping with morning sickness btw). The best tolerated drinks to take are Gatorade, Staminade and Isosport type drinks. The balance of sugar and salt helps the stomach to absorb the water.
Dunno who to believe now! I guess these drinks are designed as re-hydration drinks, so they do their job if you're not well, or if you've been playing sport. I have heard if you drink them just as an everyday drink, the electrolytes and things in them build up in your system, and that's not good. (something like that anyway).
Perhaps save the sports drinks/waters for if m/s gets too much, or if it's been a pretty active day. Not if you're spending your days sleeping and reading BellyBelly like I do at the moment! LOL
