Dee, I do exactly what I used to do in-house, only on a consultancy basis (I work in corporate affairs/communications). I branch out by doing a lot of writing and some marketing for smaller businesses as well. The hard thing is keeping the clients coming, although it is getting easier as time goes on (as long as I don't get caught napping in someone's office ).
