in my second pregnancy it was 1:40000 (pity it wasn't for the other two)
I was wondering what the range of risk factor for the combined nuchal fold/blood test was ie. what is the greatest number (1 in XXXXXXXX) you could get? So I thought I'd ask you girls to post your risk range.
Mine in my first pregnancy was 1 in 10,500. In this current pregnancy it is 1 in 20,400. Please share yours if you don't mind OR does anyone know how big the (XXXXXX) number can be?
TIA

I don't remember what my risk factor was for DS, but this time around I was a little more concerned because of my age but my results came back as 1:7820 so that was a definite relief!
Mine was about 1:10000 for DD#1 and about 1:7500 for this baby. I'm pretty sure (but happy to be corrected) that a lot of it is to do with age - for instance I couldn't really score much better than I did given that I'm 38 this year, but if you're say 25 then you could get a much higher number.
Mine with DS was 1:850 (I was 38) and he is perfectly fine. A friend's friend had one of 1:10 which freaked her out and she had an amnio and it was fine and she went on to have a perfect little boy.
Mine is 1:18378 with this pg.. Don't know about my other 3 children because they didn't do the NT when I had them.
Wow - I didn't realise how high the numbers could go.
I was 1: 4500 for DD. Was 31 at the time. She came out healthy.
A friend who is 35 has 1:750 with second bub, which is all to do with her age so it must dramatically lower the number with each year older.
I cant remember what it was for DD & I dont think I documented it anywhere either.
With this pregnancy it's 1:29,979.
I dont know how high the numbers can go.....
Hi,
i'm not too sure what the XXXXXXX number is as my last bub was a 1:4 chance... given my age is only 21 that was scary. i had a CVS and it turned out my little girl had no chromosone abnormalities, however she did not make it due to another rare developmental problem. So i guess there is hope for those out there who get a very high risk result. Let's hope this bubba's NT results come back much better and all is good!
With DS it was 1:2800 and I was only 27 so I thought that was low.
With DD it was 1:7000 and my OB joked I was getting younger (I was 30)
I was told they only get concerned when it is lower than 1:300, but everyone I spoke to had much higher numbers than mine so I was a tiny bit worried, as you do. I am blessed with two healthy kids.
All the best
Mine was 1:9999 which I was really relieved and pleased about seeing I was at the time and still am 36 !!
With DD1 it was 1: 18000
With DD2 it was 1: 3500 which i thought was a bit low (even though its not iykwim) as i'm only 25
With this pregnancy, it was 1:28,000, and I am 29.
Ours was around 1 in 21,000.
Mine came in at 1/37 for DS - due to age (41) and a 4.2 nuchal fold measurement. At my age the risk factor was something like 1/45 anyway so it didn't alter it much. Can't remember what the one for all the other chromosonal stuff was but it was in the thousands - way better than the average for my age. I had an amnio and no abnormalities were found. Everything they check at around 22 weeks was normal and in fact growthwise he's 5 days ahead of schedule.
Not sure how high it goes up to but anything under 1/300 is considered high risk and further investigations should be carried out.

i think mine was 1:43000 or something , so no risk for me ...very happy
My background risk (based purely on age) for T21 was 1:576 and for T18/13 1:993
My adjusted risk (based on age plus the blood tests and nuchal fold measurements) for T21 1:11504 and for T18/13 1:19845
These are the notes on my ultrasound letter. I don't know what the highest numbers you can get are but the cut-off between high and low risk groups is 1:300.
For my first DD my result was 1:12000 but for my little bub (girl) now, I was a high risk factor with 1:246 so I had an amnio and everything came back fine! Now I can't wait for the 20 week scan to see her and to see how she is coming along! I am 27.
