Question What's a good Stretchmark Cream?

As the title says.....looking for recommendations for stretchmark creams....I don't have any yet but want to minimise them as much as possible.

    All feedback gratefully received

    Cheers

I use the body shop's coco butter from early on right through and at the end of the day it didn't help... I stil ended up with strech marks.... Maybe I didn't get as many as I would have if I hadn't use anything but I don't really think it actually stops anything. A lot of my friends would say the same. I used Bio Oil afterwards as it is meant to reduce the appearence of the marks already there, I must admit I didn't use it long enough to do anything, but I do hear it has been great for a lot of people.
GL with it all, I do hope you're one of the lucky ones that have no marks at the end of it all!

I absolutely swear by Palmer's Cocoa Butter products. Their Tummy Butter is the shiz while you're pregnant - it's a solid but melts into your skin and you smell like lavendar and chocolate - gorgeous!! It soaks in really well too. Their other creams and moisturisers are awesome as well - I use Tummy Butter and Stretch Mark Cream while pregnant, then Stretch Mark Cream and Skin Firming Lotion after baby, and their all-over moisturiser and SPF lip-balm every day. They've just brought out a new body butter too, which I'll have to have a go at - if their other products are any indicator, this new one will be fantastic too

I'm using Palmers Stretch Mark lotion and it's divine!! I've started early to try and minimise the stretch marks.
But I might try that Tummy Butter too if Glamourcide says it's so nice!!

If you can afford it a product called Triastlin ( i think thats what its called) is meant to be REALLY good. My SIL used it and it worked really well on her she saw a dramatic difference after 2 weeks! But its about $115 or something and can only be bought online and takes about a week to get to your place.

I used the Palmers stretch mark cream every couple of days and didn't get any, could be just plain good luck though!!

Trust me, the Tummy Butter during pregnancy kicks the cr@p out of the regular stretch mark cream!! It's amazing stuff

I was using all the above while preganant, bio oil, palmers, baby oil etc, then decided wanted something that didnt contain mineral oil (is absorbed by the body in the quite high quantities) and changed to plain old macadamia oil, wasnt that expensive and smells quite nice (kinnda nutty!) worked fanatastically before and after and made my skin baby smooth too.

I used Palmer's stretch mark cream throughout my pg, and I didn't get any stretchmarks while I was pg......they all appeared within days of the birth! So I just used Bio Oil for awhile afterwards. I didn't have alot of stretchies, but they were fairly nasty looking ones. I hadn't thought about them for awhile, this thread reminded me! I've just checked and they're all gone, not a one in sight WOOHOO! Guess I can look forward to getting some more soon though .

I'm not going to worry about using a cream during this pg, if I do end up with some more stretchies, then I'll just use Bio Oil again afterwards.

Happy Event, $5.50 a tube from the chemist or an online pharmacy.

My mum used it for all 3 pregnancies, not a single stretchmark. I'm on pregnancy number 3 now and I've never had a stretchmark on my tummy (and I am prone to them, I have them on my hips from rapid weight gain as a teenager).

I personally hate cocoa butter, I think it is overrated as a moisturiser, but that's just my personal preference.

Yep Stevie, I had no idea either! Came as a complete shock, I was quite smug being stretch mark free . Didn't last long though!
