Hey everyone,
I had a dating ultrasound today that showed I am a little under 6 weeks, She said the yolk sack looked good and she had to do an internal scan to see the foetal pole but it was there though very tiny (which she said was fine at this early stage) We couldn't find a heart beat though which she said is okay and thats it more then likely too early too see a heart beat but its got me a little stressed.
So a few questions.
What is the foetal pole and yolk sac? What functions do they play?
How early/late on do people see the heart beat in an U/s?
My Dr wants me to have another U/s in a couple of weeks (I think more to reassure me as I have had two previous early m/cs one at 7 weeks and one around 9. If i go back for another scan in two weeks I will be almost eight weeks should we be able to see a heart beat then?
