Hello Xmasbaby,
I do not know much about the foetal pole and yolk sac but I do know it is a good thing that it is visable, it is needed for the baby to grow.
As far as the heartbeat goes, it is still early days for you, a heartbeat can usually be seen on ultrasound between 6 and 7 weeks so you are a bit before that time frame. At your next ultrasound you should see you babies little heartbeat flickering.
Best of Luck with your next ultrasound.

You're not being silly and paranoid - many women feel exactly the way you do when they first get pg ... I know I did. It is a scary time because there is so much hope pinned on your little bub sticking. I am on my third pg and have had 2 previous pg that both resulted in a full term healthy baby and I still freaked out for the first couple of months this time. It is so normal.
