Make sure you heat it to over 70 again and you will be fine. (So boil it)
Yes, I would eat it.
I made a yummy veg and chicken soup today and we have loads leftover. I really want to have some again tomorrow but I have one concern, I used leftover BBQ chicken in it so will it be safe for me to eat?
We bought the chicken fresh (and piping hot!) yesterday. It was refrigerated after we'd made our lunch and then I used the leftovers in the soup I made tonight. I'm sensible but I don't go overboard with my pregnancy eating habits and don't worry about listeria much but this one has me thinking. Would it be really bad for me to eat the soup tomorrow?

Yes, I would eat it.
i agree with the others!
I probably wouldnt eat it cos i didnt eat leftovers while pregnant. If i did though, i would freeze it overnight and then reheat the next day on the stove.
Im anal though![]()
As long as the soup wasn't sitting on the stove top for a really longtime... Agree with above about boiling, I made chicken noodle soup with BBQ chicken loads and would eat it for a few days.
Enjoy

Nope Its been reheated once (if it was left over chicken from another meal) I would definately not reheat a second time, but thats just me x x x
I wouldn't eat it for the reason NaeNae gave - it's already been reheated. But I am anal!!![]()
I'm an completely paranoid, so wont eat anything that has already been reheated, especially chicken. But that's just me.
I would have no issues eating it if the chicken used was a raw chicken, but a BBQ chicken I am always a bit iffy about those.
If you heat it high enough (boil it) it should be fine, however I wouldn't eat it more than the day after making.
I ate it and it was even nicer today. It's not ideal by the listeria 'rules' but I figure it could be a lot worse. I have several mummy friends who are from the UK and are astounded by how strict our rules are in Aus and this time round, I tend to agree with them. BBQ chickens were a definite no-no when I was PG with DD just 2 years ago and now they're ok so who knows what will be 'OK' next year, maybe reheating twice?I'm comfortable with my decision though - and I boiled the hell out of it before eating it
Thanks for your replies though girls, much appreciated!
