Kelly, it feels real (this friendship), because it is real. I sooo wanted to visit you (haha, another threat!) when we were travelling through your way and I kept wondering where you live, but we couldn't stop for any rellies or friends this time. An example of these friendships, sorry Kahlan, I'm finally going to "out" you. Kahlan offered my family money and a place to stay with her family when we were struggling to get funding and things were looking grim. I can't tell you how beautiful the sentiment was, though I didn't take her up on her offer, it just reinforced to me that there are a lot of good people in the world and sometimes they are closer than you think. I really believe in community and that's what this forum is to me. The friends I have here are my extended community. Nuff said, no more tears Saph.xoxox

I did buy a few new toys that i'm holding back and will ration out in direct respone to the level of crying on the plane lol

getting lots of stretching pains and aches and could eat a horse 'cept the thought of meat ain't agreeing with me

Thanks for asking had ultrasound done yesterday no fibriods just me pelvis doing naughty things. Saw specialist yesterday as well and he is concerned that we have not had vast improvements yet and I am booked in for another injection on the 17th. The pain in my stomach has eased right off after I saw my physio yesterday. She told me not to even bother with the scan as she was certain in was my pelvis. and she was right.

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. Off to see the wiggles this weekend yay!!!!

    Hi

Oh Murph, so glad to hear the switch on went well. Look forward to hearing more Jazzy updates in time to come!

Barney & Robin! Welcome back to the "new" yous! Barney you had me worried there for a minute though, I thought you may have been "found" again. Phew!

Saph: Glad they found the cause. Now just hope the pain goes away.

Not much else to say. I'm not having the best of weekends. I hadn't said anything as I was hoping to surprise everyone with good news, but unfortunately not. We've just had a failed ICSI and I am totally devastated. The timing couldn't be worse (it's my birthday tomorrow so no happy birthday for me) and to add insult to injury our money has run out. We just cannot afford another round (and none of the embies were able to freeze so I am up for a full round again + private hospy costs which we all know isn't cheap). I guess I am very angry too as my FS decided to go on hols right before my EPU (if he had told me beforehand I would have waited until he got back) and I wasn't happy with the covering Dr. I won't bore you with details but after my FS went away the whole thing just turned into a mess.

So yeah, basically our only hope now is that our house sells for a really great price and we can get a few extra $$$ put away for another round.

Sorry to put a downer on the thread but I just have to get it all out.

    Hiya,
just letting you know that I won't have access to a computer for a week (DH is taking my laptop to a conference and Jazz and I have to go back to Melbourne next week anyway)

BOC, just wanted to wish you Many Happies for tomorrow and hope that you have enough to smile about with Jagger to take away some of your disappointment. Barney's words were so lovely, I hope they help.

Have a wonderful day and I hope that you will have money again from the sale of your house. xox

BOC: sending you a big hug and I know how you feel about not having your FS around it makes it a real bummer, but I hope you have a good birthday and gets lots of hugs and smooches from your precious boy... And maybe look into what Smi (oops) Barney has mentioned, it just may give you the chance to do it again really soon..

Saph: That's hilarious, when Tara finds DH's chest hair and just grabs one he carries on like a girl so I can just imagine handfulls...lol...

Murph: Good luck with your trips back to Melb this week..

Marcellus: Hey it's December this week and not long to go now. I'm sure you are over Perth's hot weather....

    Big hello to everyone else...

Not much happening here, off to the hairdresser today - finally - as I've been waiting to get past the first trimester before getting my hair done and I can't wait. I think I'm also looking forward to 2 Tara free hours (is that a bad mummy) when DH come to get her and look after her for the afternoon... And tomorrow I'm off to my first physio appt for my back pain and sciatica that I've been suffering from, so will be interesting to see how frequently I'll need to do the physio for. Apart from that not much else happenning at all, just on the countdown until Xmas. Can you believe it is less that 4 weeks away....

Kelly I am on the count down to christmas, because I want a rest. We do not have a free day until christmas and Campbell has 7 parties in two weeks of those one is his own. I think I must be mad but everything is finishing up, Our kids are all off to school next year and we are all going back to work so we are trying to cram all our goodbyes in. Bit sad really but we are entering a new phase in our lives. Poor second child misses out on everything.

    hi girls,

just want to send boc a big hug and hope you still managed to have a wonderful birthday and put this set back aside. And fx the house sells really well and you can afford another cycle soon. Have you complained to the practice manager? Oh, my heart goes out to you love. you try not to get your hopes up and try to "be happy with my special one" but you just know you are fooling yourself and it's just as bad as the first time round.

murph - hope jazzy travels well.

saph - oh that's too funny about your dh screaming! DS likes to grab my dh's leg hair but all i get is an "ow" and a grimmace... although when they bath together ds does try to grab the family jewels lol. fortuantely dh gets to the hand before it grabs hahaha.

barney you are a dag love! ox

kelly - enjoy getting your hair done

hi marcellus, hope you are well. Lenny, littlemissrr, neptune, melbel and all the loverlies here.

We arrived at my paretn's in FNQ after much packing, moving, and stress. DS handled it a lot better than expected and was pretty good on the plane for an 11 month old bub. He was unsettled yesterday and saturday but seemed much happier today -despite having his immunisations! poor darling what a big few weeks he's had.

so we are officially homeless for the next three or so weeks! also had a scan at a gp check up today and saw the new bub's heart beating away very nicely! what a relief, you always worry and i'd been so stressed laatey.

better go, dinner ready but wanted to check in.

    Hi my lovely ladies,

Thankyou so very much for the hugs & birthday wishes and messages of support! I'm feeling very loved at the moment! Talk about warm fuzzies...

It's been a tough couple of days. I know I should know better than to place so much emphasis on one cycle but I really honestly thought this was it! But never mind, now that I think of it, it probably was a little early yet, going to enjoy a little more one-on-one time with my little guy for now.

Don't think I'll complain, really can't see it getting me anywhere. But Barney, thanks for the tip, I presume you mean Next Gen at Westmead? I actually looked into them before this cycle. They are definitely cheaper, my main concern is getting our frozen sperm from Newcastle to Westmead. When I enquired about it they said they could lend me an esky??? I might look further & see if maybe there's some kind of cryo courier service?

Oh, my heart goes out to you love. you try not to get your hopes up and try to "be happy with my special one" but you just know you are fooling yourself and it's just as bad as the first time round.
Grub, you really hit the nail on the head for me. And other people's insensitive comments really don't help. Can you believe after my BT one of the nurses at the clinic actually proceeded to tell me I should count my blessings as she had 2 kids 18 months apart and that it really was hell so I was lucky???

Anyway the teething monster is in full swing here, we've got 2 coming in at once. It ain't pretty. I think I should take out stock in Nurofen LOL. they pop through soon!

Saph: loved the chest-hair incident, definitely had me giggling! I have a funny moment to share too. Late yesterday I was in a bit of a grey cloud and feeling pretty down. Well DS put a stop to that real quick. I was undressing him for his shower and all of a sudden he sat up, pulled down my singlet top, stuck his head in my cleavage and blew the hugest raspberry! I was . Hmmmm I wonder who taught him that? Probably the same person that has taught him to snap my bra straps

Anyway must head off, time for a certain someone's toast. Just wanted to say thank you again and let you know how much I truly appreciate the support here.

BOC you had me giggling like a girl. I think these boys must have this innate need for boobies. Xavier is always looking for the boobies he can even unclip my bra. He is so bad he will go for the grope from anyone. lol It must be a need for comfort because even at 4 Campbell will cuddle with his hand in my shirt.

Have to say that that stupid nurse needs a slap. What an insensitive twat. You should be complaining about her. Dont think it is a waste of time to complain because often it noone complains then they dont know that there is an issue. We have recently put in a complaint about the finance rep where we bought DH new car and now they are conducting an internal investigation.

Have to tell you another pearler from the mouth of Campbell, He has such serious converstations with Xavier but yesterday he was telling him " Xavier I am going to private school but you are to naughty." lol I think he was trying to say is you are to little but what is with the distinction of private school, he is but as far as he is concerned he is going to the school across the road.

Busy week Campbell is off to see the kidney specialist today and Xavier is off to see the pead surgeon on thurs will keep you posted as to how we go.

Hope everyone is having a lovely day.
