just touching base - been a bit of a full on week this week and i've managed to once again stuff my wrist so i'm in a bit of pain. (oh, and i stuffed up both shoulders - one WITH the wrist, one BECAUSE of the wrist - overcompensating yada yada yada!). At least E is now mostly mobile so will come to me when she wants a drink or whatever. and DH has been home a fair amount to help me out.

still hating teething time - poor poppet is just miserable one minute, fine the next. it makes life very interesting!

must go - chocolate calling while the bubba sleeps in her bed and her daddy on the couch. lazy beggars!

    Hi girls,

    Sorry have been MIA

My DP had a foot reconstruction surgery on the 11th and we were desperately trying to get things done before then as he is now out of action for 6 weeks which has put alot of pressure on me, now have TWO babies to take care of, lol

Just wanted to pop in and say HI! And thank you for my birthday wishes. My day was very quiet, just watched movies on the couch all day Cant leave the house unless someone comes over to take care of DP and Trent as DP is on crutches so cant do much other than hold Trent while lying on the couch! DP took me out to dinner the week before and also bought me a GORGEOUS topaz and diamond ring for my b'day

Trent will be 4 months next week, how time has FLOWN! He is having his 4 month needles on Tuesday and then off to the MHCN for his check up on Thursday. The poor little thing has 4 teeth trying to come through so has been unsettled of late. The most I was getting out of him a night was 5 hrs, prior to this, he was sleeping 8/9 hrs! Although he surprised me last night and did 6 hrs straight, woke and I put the dummy in his mouth and slept a further 3 hours

Have been going to my mothersgroup which has been a godsend these last few weeks, a chance to get out of the house once a week! We went to the pool last week and Trent enjoyed it.

I started weight watchers too last week in hope of losing some weight so we can HOPEFULLY start trying for number 2 by maybe the middle of the year

BG - I know what you mean about the teething, lots of fun...NOT! Sorry to hear you've hurt yourself again. Take care of yourself

BW - Glad work was better for you this week and how funny about your DH! Unless they do what we do, they dont quite get it, lol I miss the adult contact too but I cant imagine leaving Trent for a whole day. I really dont want to but have to go back to work at some point soon.

Hello to Kelly, Murph, Grub, Smithy, Poppy, Green, Janie, Neptune, Marcellus and everyone else. Will try to keep in touch more often!

Take care all and enjoy your weekend

    Cheers,
    Tania

KellyD I think staying inside with loads of support (mums aunties etc) would be great for a month. I think what you do with Tara is so nice.

Smithy at the washing machine it never stops does it.

Grub we always figure things out before we go to sleep even if we agrea to disagrea but have a cuddle and a kiss. He's still going but is being alot more supporting and asking if he can take bubs in slig alot more. Just needed a poke me thinks I was at the child youth health clinic wed with a mum who's daughter was off feeding too, it's normal and they grow out of it was the sensis but she was so frustraighted. Hang in there.

Janie the walk idea is a good one, will try it while MIL is around. So gelous at reading about your trip. glad you had fun.

Briggsy's girl I hope your teething settles enjoy chocolate

MissMagpie glad you are going well and still around. Nice to have an update.

ATM well Linc is definatly sensitive to me eating dairy. I had yoghurt this mornign and OMG stinky farts all day and very distressed little man. I feel so bad but glad I know what it is, I think the AB didn't help either.

MIL is here and DH is getting ready to leave, I'm getting ok with it, not having any choice and I'm hoping that he get's loads done loads of rest and comes back with arms open to help me out.

sorry, this will be a quicky as I typed a massive reply, even reading the previous thread for updates and it all got wiped somehow so I just can't do it all again.

BW - so glad work is settling a bit for you, makes life much easier huh?

BG - Sorry to hear about your injuries, why has that happened? You poor thing, hope things improve soon.

Murph - hope the packing is going well!

Grub - hope little Ash is settling with his feeding.

Hello to everyone, sorry again for lack of persies!

Adam a little cherub, but I've given the poor little boy my cold. I tried so hard not to give it to him, but I guess it was inevitable. Luckily it's not too bad, he's just a bit snotty. I set up the baby monitor for the first time because I got it my head that he could stop breathing. anyway, the little talking sounds coming form up there is just gorgeous. He sound slike he is proacticing his vowel sounds. AAAAAEEEEEEE, EEEEEEEE, OOOOOOOOO.

I'm taking my poor little dog to the orthopedic surgeon tomorrow! She will maybe have the op tomorrow depending on what he assesses.

    Hello,
just jumping on the new thread. The move date has been brought forward and we have a house to go to ...yay! I started wondering if it wasnt your DFs house on KI Green, cos i didn't know he had one, then I got cranky at him for leaving you to work on the house while you are struggling. My real estate agent says the owner just wants to do some painting etc and i thought how funny it would be if it was his house we are renting. It's a big 4 bedroom, 5 carport! After living here in one bedroom, it's a bit extreme but it was slim pickings for renting with dogs. Gees, dogs are better than people. Must dash (albeit slowly, or the wee one will drop to the floor)

BG - Sorry to hear about your injuries, why has that happened? You poor thing, hope things improve soon.
long story, but dot points are that i broke my arm when i was a kid, tearing the cartiledge between the two bones at the time. surgery hasn't corrected it, so my wrist dislocates itself if pressure is put the wrong way (which can be something as big as me falling on it, or putting weight on it as i stand up, or as small as carrying E and her weight shifting, cuddling DH in bed and him moving my hand the wrong way) - anyhoot, i know it is a weak point, but i try to not keep it strapped all the time as it will weaken it further. i'm probably in need of more surgery on it to try and stabilise it again. this time, i did something stupid that popped my wrist and jarred my shoulder and possibly torn muscle through my shoulder/shoulderblade region (bloody red head temper!) - because that side of my body is really uncomfy, i was overcompensating and using the other side for everything and it has created pain in my right hand side as well. E being as big as she is now, carrying her weight on the same side all the time has made things nasty for me. she is also still being rather clingy with the teething gig and wonder weeking at the same time. it's been full on!

new mummy's - if you haven't already, see if you can get hold of a copy of the wonder weeks book - it is a fantastic resource - it explains so much of what goes on during those really fussy periods. it doesn't by any means FIX the fussy periods, but it helps so much to understand WHY they are doing it - and how to help them through it with appropriate activities. i am someone that gets very easily frustrated (hence the dodgy wrist incident this past week) but i am not only able to put that frustration aside when E is wonder weeking, i'm able to help her through it. understanding what is going on with her is a key driver for my own sanity lol

fourth tooth is on the brink. i almost went so far as to say it was through earlier - but it still feesl a wee bit spongy over the top of it - so i might make it official later lol. i now have my very own little vampire girl. all she wants for Easter is her two front teeth lol
