Parenting after LT TTC #5

good afternoon to all you beauties,
raining heaps here today and its beautiful,even have dh home due to so much rain.
so im very proud of myself today as both dh and i went xmas shopping and laybyed all our chrissy prezzies,so im all organized this year usually i leave it all till the last minet and then go but this year i said NO WAY AM I DOING THATAGAIN
charlie is getting some beautiful things,a bike,dolly and pram lots of little toys and a table and chair set so her first xmas will be awsom,although the paper will proberbly be her favourite thing pmsl.
any way hope your all going well,thinking of you all ,take care im off to pack all my groceries away

ATM been so busy this week, Linc as been really unhappy with all the early starts so I'm not doing them work can wait and I"ll get there when I can (they don't know this yet) the cold has made him rattly and I'm not sure but he seems to be snotty again, is this another cold. He's been waking ....... EVERY 40 mins and Yes I still went to work....... zzzzzzzzzzzz bit better last night 10-1.30am before he needed resettling. then it was hourly after his feed at 2.30. I don't know if this is just a faze or what but it can't go on. I'm thinking of going to the stay over night sleep thing if it doesn't stop.

On a funny note Linc has only poo'd for DH this week and today he flilled 3 nappies! sometimes it's good to be at work.

Green - I would be doing the sleep school, I have been considering doing it throughout the day as Xavier is a crappy day sleeper. But I guess you can cope with that if you are getting good sleep at night.

Can I ask you all a personal question. Those of you who are breast feeding did Af come back while you are feeding and if not did you get any spotting. With C I did not get AF until well after I finished feeding him. At the moment I am having some very light spotting. Is this normal.

DH and I have been having the do we want anymore kids talk lately. I have said that I cant make the decision now (considering I am still in pain from Xavier and have just gone back to wearing the same brace I had on during my pregnancy), but I will not go back to AC to get one. So I think we will just continue on as we are and let fate decide for us.

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. It is a long weekend here for us but as DH runs his own buisness we are having our long weekend next week as DH wants to do kindy roster on Monday with C so we decided to go away next weekend. First camping trip.AARRGH

Hi Girls

Just wanting to say hello to you all as I have been seriously MIA..... but this teething thing is really trying for both Tara and me......

For her bottom 2 a few weeks back we had 2 bad days then the 1st tooth arrived, then a few days later we had 1 cranky day followed by a tooth, but boy these top ones are little buggars. I have pretty much had a whole week of a cranky miserable baby, clingy and crying at the drop of a hat and the top ones still haven't broken through. I can feel how tight her gums are and you can see the teeth just waiting to pop through but nothing yet.

It is becoming very exhausting as I have been having to take Tara out everyday to give her some form of entertainment cause if we are home she wants me to carry her all the time, but then if we are out she won't sleep. Take today for example.... up at 9am and after attempting to get her down at 11am for a nap (with no luck) we decided to go grocery shopping. Of course she feel asleep in the car 10 minutes from home but as soon as the car stopped she was awake again and we finally managed to get her to sleep at 4pm. So with being awake for 7 hours and teething symptoms as well we had one really "CRANKY" baby.

Anyway, I'm going to go and put my feet up as I am shattered as well.

Green that is really tough. It's worse when you're working too as you've no time to catch up. Does your DH help out at night? It could be a cold/illness that causing the current trouble. You'll find, no matter what (sleep school etc) that if there's an underlying reason like that for crappy sleep nothing will help till that problem resolves itself. Hope things settle soon for you.
But hooray for missing the poos

Kelly have you tried a teethign necklace? Made a big difference for us. DS is a shocker when teething too.

Geez smithy?! We don't do christmas presents. Thank goodness. Of course the little 'uns still get stuff. You're right though, the paper (or box) is always the most exciting part!

Hope Jazzy is doing better Janie and you have some answers soon.

hi girls,
been mia while my mum was visiting. it was lovely to see her and ash got spoilt.
saph - i got AF at 3 months and she's come every month since then! brh. i feel ripped off (ash is breastfed). I do find that bub feeds very poorly the week before my AF arrives, happened 3 times now but not sure if its the hormonal changes or just coincidence.

smithy - that is being ridiculously organised! lol. good on you!

kelly d- tell me about the teething!!! We have two teeth. One is all the way through - arrived fully last week and the other one popped out on Friday... he's not even 6 months yet! brh.

He's also sitting up - a bit unsteady but he's there and sort saying 'bubba' although it's mostly a whinging "bub-bub-bub-bubba'' and comes with a quivering bottom lip (naughty mummy and daddy laugh at him at that stage as its too cute).

still in the 25ht percentile for weight and 90ths for height and loves loves loves his solids. i think he would just keep eating if i kept offering, it's astonishing! mum reckons he's the neatest baby eater she's ever seen lol - why put food on your bib when it can be in your gob!

afm.ill be mowing the lawns again and its freezing cold here today the wind is cold,my hands are numb from hanging out the washing lol.
but anyways my girl was 5 months old yesterday and shes growing so fast now,getting very cheeky too.

Hiya,
just back from another overnighter with Jazz in Adelaide. Thanks for sharing your own experiences about routines (or whatever way you're surviving). Of course all that goes out the window with the teeth hey. It's comforting knowing that we are going through it together. jasmine just lunges forward and attacks anything she wants to sink her teeth into. It was funny when we were in Melbourne cos it was usually her Nana's face. Lucky Mum saw her lining her up and throwing the head back like a little animal and got out of her way.

My tip for breast feeding and teething is to have lots of lie down feeds, as it takes the pressure off their gums and they can control everything in comfort. On the really bad days an nights (like the shockers I had before going away on Monday), if you can do it, just resign yourself to staying in bed and giving them around the clock access. With a cold that was making her spewy and teething driving her nuts, she just wanted access to my body to cling, comfort, feed and hydrate and we rode the fevers through with a full day and night in bed. We were so lucky, she was a brand new happy girl for our travels and therapy.

Still no results on the mri and ct. Why am i not surprised? I was told 5 working days from may 25th and still nothing. We are only talking about whether my child will ever be able to hear anything for the rest of her life, why would my pulse be racing and anxiety peaking. Arrrggghh, I hate these flippant throw away things people say and then others tell you that was never going to happen. vent, vent, vent! So someone will ring me next tuesday (maybe) and i hope they sleep well on the weekend because i feel sick. ho hum....

sorry. betterb go give jazzy a bone to gnaw on (other than my collar bone)

Hi everyone
i have been seriously missing in action because of university hell, anyway a big nasty statistics exam yesterday and I am FREE for 4 weeks. Yippee! holidays rock!

I need to read up on all of your news, but just wanted to say hi.

Adam is nearly 8 months old, nearly crawling, well launching off his knees and face planting anyway, teething madly (2 bottom teeth, very very sharp) and busy keeping mummy up half the night. All to be expected, but despite the sleep deprivation, I am enjoying my little boy.
