Oops sorry Saffy, i've cleared my inbox now if you want to try again thanks. Sorry to hear about your nan How are you coping? Hope you survived your first day on your own ok? its a little daunting when its just you and your bub left alone all day...and not too fun dealing with the almighty poo explosions!! How is your precious princess going?
It great that you are feeling ready to DTD again...even just thinking about it is great i think. My poor DH says he feels like a virgin again...our 'relations' are very few and far better, just dont feel like it AT ALL!!!....yep my libido (oohh i remember that once) has up and gone and left the building and left the town and left the state and left the country all together i think!!!

    Hi girls,
thought I'd pop in and say hows everyone going?

I am curentl a single mother temporarily, as DH has had to fly to the UK to see his father who is very sick and probably won't make it to the end of the year. He's gone by himself, ( very upset about leaving DD) as a) we can't afford to all fly to uk and b) DD hasn't got a passport yet. We will probably have ot go over later in the year, so I will have to get the passport thing sorted and start saving. Its going alright actually, theres no pressure to have dinner organised and ready in the evening ( baked beans on toast is my new best friend) and I can do some sneaky cosleeping but otherwise of course we are missing him.

We just went through a big wonder week too, so luckily that is over. Otherwise I am blessed to have a very easy, happy little girl who is the best thing that ever happened to us. And, yes, i am already sick of people telling me 'be careful you'll probably fall pregnant now' or 'when are you going back for another one?' She's only 3 months old for crying out loud.

Yogi- I hear you on the libido thing, I don't think DH and I are ever awake at the same time in bed so thats a bit of a problem too, oh well, hopefully things will pick up again at some point. Weird how when you are pregnant you are up for it constantly then its all over after the baby comes.

Hope everyone is going well xx

Sorry to hear about your FIL but I am glad you are doing well as a girl only team at your house!
The amount of people who have asked when number 2 is coming is crazy! If only they knew how hard it was for us to have DD! I feel so blessed to be her mum and we are happy with 1!

Ok good time for an update as DD is 10months old today-woohoo!
Where has that time gone? I found the first 3 months went slowly, then since then it has been a whirlwind.

my DD is the most funny, gorgeous, happy, ENERGETIC little girl, she is a real pleasure and has made our lives just amazing, I love being a mummy and at this stage am not going back to work for another year, yay.

She is into everything, been crawling since 7 months, stands and is at the stage of taking a few steps while holding onto furniture. I feel like all I do is chase her and say " no, don't eat that/ touch that/do that" keeping an oldie like me very fit haha. She still BFs to sleep for all naps and overnight, but in the last month we have gone down to 3 wake ups ( this is a good thing :-P ) and I have always coped with minimal sleep so all that shift work trained me well. I love BFing and hope we keep going for a few more years, can't see her stopping anytime soon, she is a booby maniac. she's only a little dot, just reached 8kg ( double birthweight at last) but eats well and BF well, very independent with her food and will rarely spoon feed, she has to feed herself even if its scooping up custard or porridge in her hands. she loves her fruit and veges, and once she's had her 'savoury' part of the meal will point at the fruit bowl until I get her something.

I am feeling good, just had my 2nd AF, not enjoying having pmt back though. have just read back on my previous posts and unfortunately I will admit the BD side of life hasn't exactly reignited yet, still on different schedules to DH but we manage it occasionally. No desire here still for another baby, I feel too old and I am enjoying DD too much. I have a great mothers group and we meet every week so am lucky to to have met friends in my area ( although I am way older than them, doesn't make any difference though)

the only other thing that has happened was that when she was 9 months old, We found a lump under DDs armpit, after a bit of a saga, we ended up in hospital as it was an infected lymph node. that eventually turned into an access, and she had surgery for it, the 3rd night we were in hospital. It was an awful experience, then when we got home she had to have a nurse come round every day for a week and pack the wound which hurt her, and she would start crying as soon as the doorbell rang ( so heartbreaking). All fine now and the paediatrician said it was just bad luck that it happened, probably caused by a small scratch which got a germ in. When we look back at photos of the lump, it was enormous and people get shocked when they see how big and red it was, they drained 11mls of pus from the abscess and the drs couldn't believe she wasn't really sick ( in true form she was still happy and smiling), so that was the worst thing that has happened to us, we are lucky it was something that wasn't serious. I never even posted about it on BB as I was too stressed at the time, then I never got around to it.

Anyway, that's enough of an essay from me, love to hear how everyone else is xxx

wow! your poor DD about the lump =( so glad its sorted now. we have had health issues with Spocks bum...but despite that she doesn't let it stop her, she too is so active and energetic!!
I hear you Saffy about the shift work preparing you! I honestly thing it makes it easier =) Spock will be 18months in a week and still wakes every 3 hours. and has been down to one nap for a long time. even that now is becoming a struggle to make sure she has one.
I'm keen for another one. unfortuantly despite havinig a clock work perfect AF since she was born, it appears they still want me to go on atleast clomid for a cycle to do a FET, and i'm not ready to risk the BF yet.

Re: Parenting after LT TTC #8

Gosh, I was about to respond to your post TTN and say I will be happy when dd drops to 1 nap, as naps have always been a pain in the rear end for both of us, and lo and behold, a few days later she did! It's so good, I have so much more freedom now and it has improved her night sleeping a lot too ( only 1 wake up last night), minor inconvenience is the 5am wake ups tho

Won't brag too much as I will jinx myself and I also read your post about the night shenanigans of Spock, can imagine my dd being a going to bed resistor too when she is older as I was all my childhood.

Good luck with TTC, pain they won't let you go natural, so annoying. Are you working at the moment?

Re: Parenting after LT TTC #8

yea, don't talk about it!! its not worth jinxing it!!!
i dont understand it...i LOVE my bed...i'd be in it all day and night if i could...
no, I'm looking for work. desperatly....so desperately that i'm thinking of joining the army... I'm having trouble getting a job here...for stupid reasons that are really painful actually...i've cried everyday about it actually...but i wont go into it here, just that I am hunting hard for work cause we are so broke. which means TTC has been put off a bit longer =(

Saggy, your poor little DD. It breaks me up when I read about little ones in pain. At least she won't remember! But you will, for sure.
