    Hi again,
another curly one for you girls if you don't mind. Do you remember/know when you can DTD once you're pg? It's too late cos I've done it (sorry for tmi) but got a fair bit of fresh red blood about an hour later. Now of course feeling pretty worried but thought I remembered reading somewhere that it's all a bit sensitive and that bleeding is okay...god I hope so. we were never told anything about when to do it or not and now feeling ripped off

Hope you have some good news for me cos right now not sure if I still have baby or babies on board and not feeling crash hot.

    Thanks

Murph - there isn't any real reason to NOT DTD unless you've been advised by your doctors due to recurrent miscarriage issues. the cervix forms a protective plug, and unless you're having very hard/violent sex your embryo is going to be very well protected in there. the cervix has a larger volume of blood pumping through it (everything down there does!) so you can sometimes bruise and the bruises will actually bleed kwim?

i've not abstained during the pg, as petrified as i was a the start - i just wanted to feel normal after everything we've been through - we just made sure to be a little bit more careful to make sure not to go at things too hard - DH was really good and if i say to be gentle, he changes what is happening so as not to make me uncomfy.

FWIW - i've heard that orgasm causes the uterus to contract a little and give the baby a "cuddle" - so i think we're just teaching our gremlin about affection from a really young age!! and the increased blood flow means O is more intense most of the time so it's the most enjoyable time to dtd!

    Hey Briggsys Girl,
cool, thanks for making me smile I think I'll put those new fears to rest now. I've been reading around the net but you can be as careful as you want and still not guarantee a smooth ride. I agree with you, I just felt so good to feel normal, which you don't get when you're packed with pessaries half your life.

I'll put myself and the computer to bed now. Thanks again.

    Hi girls
Just jumping aboard the new thread too. Have my first OB appt tomorrow, so looking forward to that. Just waiting to get to the 12 week mark to relax... at least somewhat.
    Hope you're all well.

    hi girls
I've been following everyone's progress and there have been some great updates in here!!
Just a quickie from me, I've been feeling like there's some movement from bubs over the last week (but couldn't be sure if it was just a gurgly tummy) then last night I'm certain I got confirmation - I had 3 distinct tap-tap-tap in the one spot on my right side. It actually kind of freaked me out, but was also very exciting!
Only 3.5 weeks to go unti l19 week scan - yippee!!!
    Hope you're all well.

    Hi Girls

    Hope everyone is doing well.

TL & Janie: It is so close now, I'm sure you can't wait to meet your little miracles.

AFM: Well this m/s stuff is really getting me down. No vomiting still but suffering from everything else... Severe nausea, dizzyness and fainting, constipation and indigestion at 2am in the morning. Went to my GP today to see if there was anything that I can take to get me through my days at work. My Dr prescribed me 4 weeks off work with lots of rest and taking care of myself. Contacted work (where I have only been for 4 weeks) and they were great and instead of taking 4 weeks off work, I'm taking this week off to try and get some rest and then from next week they are going to let me reduce my hours from 12pm - 8.15pm to 4pm - 8.15pm as I feel worst between 10am and 4pm each day. They are also going to allow me to have rest breaks whenever I need them as well. Hopefully this works out to be a good option for me as even though I will only get paid part time hours, it is better than not getting paid at all.

So plenty of sleep for me this week and hopefully our little bubble starts to play nicely very soon..
