Sorry Bel - I must have made a typo and Bel became Bee. Fixed now though. Glad things are going well, it must be a bit of a nightmare having to be in hospital all that time, but obviously anyone of us would do it in a heartbeat for our babies. I hope the time passes quickly for you and before you know it you are at or past 36 weeks.
Thanks Nic..I thought when I saw Bee..what a coincidence is that? Someone else due on the same day with twins and the same sex!! My pg mind didn't think it could have been me!!! Not too bad here in hospital. I feel really reassured and safe here and have someone 24 hours to annoy and ask questions!!! And I get to hear these two 3 times a day!!
Hugs xxx
Just a quick post from me as I am not really up to much at the moment. Just got home from the hospital. Our beautiful and much longed for little baby boy, Ryan Patrick, was stillborn at 7:50pm last night aged 18wks 1 day.
We have had a very tough last week and both DH and I are hiding from the world at the moment. I will try to get up the strength a final post in the next week or so.
Oh Chez my darlin'. I'm so so sorry to hear of your loss. I hope that you and DH can take strength from each other to get you through this terrible time. Please know we are here if you need anything.
Hi . Hope it is alright for me to drop in here? One or two of you may know me from the TTC after MC or IVF with PGD threads.
Firstly, I would like to congratulate you all on your pregnancies
Secondly, I would be really grateful if I could run something by you all?
I am currently PG after an (IVF with PGD) cycle. Last Friday at 10 weeks I had a BT done. Great HCG (over 107,000) and my progesterone is still surprisingly over 300 (I have not been taking pessaries, but it got rather high from the Pregnyl during the 2WW). However my estrogen is still way over 5,000. I realise in a naturally conceived PG that estrogen steadily rises (though it never goes that high). But I had thought mine might have come down a little. Just wondering if anyone else has had their estrogen checked during their ART PG?
I guess my concern is that very high estrogen levels have been linked with breast cancer (apparently the increase in estrogen levels caused by alcohol is why alcohol has recently been linked to breast cancer).
I will talk to my OB about this, but would really appreciate anyone's thoughts on this.
Diamond - wow we are a month apart! My first scan does feel like an eternity away. Im really looking forward to see my bubs heartbeat so I can relax a little. Glad all went well at your appointment.
Murph - yes we are the new kids on the block here! I dont know much about anything as yet and am slowly learning things along the way. Hope your going well
Janie - thanks for the advice. Im so new to all this and am worried because I dont have any symptoms but Im sure they'll be forthcoming! Not long to go for you now, how EXCITING! Hope bubs comes soon for you
just a quick one from me to let you know that i am still checking in on you all, not long to go now TL, only 6days!!!!
just wondering if anyone knows how 21andttc is going?? i cant remember but i thought she was going for a scan sometime soon and just wanted to check in to see how it went???
hopefully it wont be long and i will be back in here with you all soon
Hey, just popping in to cheer some of you up....errrr...I'm sick! Yep, it has got me. M/S has touched down. DH came home today and found me sprawled out on the back verandah. No chucky, just yucky! All day just a really strange day of being absolutely so hungry I could eat my cattle dog, then so sick I couldn;t think of it, faint dizzy and wanting to go at both end but worse cos I got no movement! Oh great.
Tomorrow I do my uni drive, 2 hours down the coast, then after uni in the arvo drive with DH and my dogs down south for another 4 hours. Next day on a yacht for an ashes spreading ceremony and then wake. I think I'll give new meaning to "all hands on deck"...more like all fours on deck!
Anyway, thought you might get a laugh KellyD, hope your symptoms are leaving you alone.
Good morning everyone,
it was great to read all the updates. Thanks Nixon for adding me to your list, I got a bit of a thrill. I don't know if it's one or two but most likely one. i havent had morning sickness and my hcg tests haven't been overly high apparently. I'm not wishing for twins, but it is still a surprise to find out.
I haven't been feeling great since the "special cuddle" incident (as Greenslw described it!), still a bit on edge and will ask for another blood test at the docs tomorrow. I'm only going for accupuncture but it's at a clinic so will ask to see if my levels are rising. How often do you get it done in these early stages?
KellyD, I'm following closely in your footsteps but hoping that I don't get your symptoms. It's 6 weeks and 1 day today and the dreaded symptoms I've been warned about should start soon if they are going to. Lastnight had a very strange night with fluttering tummy for hours so not sure if I'm working myself up with anxiety or starting symptoms. BBs have a mind (and post code) of their own!
JenC, I hope your OB appointment went well.
Bel, you poor bugger,so much hospital food! I hope everything is going well for you in there and you get safely past that 36 week mark.
So many to mention, but will send you all lots of luck and wishes and talk soon.
Murph- Don't beat yourself up about the "special cuddle" incident. Most couples have "special cuddles" when pg. I think that if you are really worried, then definitely go have a BT just to ease you mind. You'll be fine though. As for the hospital food....hmmmm it's getting shall we say "interesting!!" Thank goodness for my sissy who works 5 mins away and a good husband!!
Hello,
Finally got some time and energy to drop in and do more than just read!
Kelly - sorry to hear about your MS - but that is great that your work is being so understanding and giving you the time that you need - must be a huge relief!
Bel - glad that the twins are still up to there usual tricks and that you are getting the very best care for the three of you. Hang in there and hope the time to 36 weeks does not drag too long.
Murph - hope you are feeling better and that your blood tests are all ok. Good luck!
AFM - spent O/N in Wodonga hospital after I fainted in the shops and then in emergency my heart did some strange beats. Turns out to be nothing and more importantly Tex is ok - they go a midwife over to check his/her heart beat out - which was great of them. Feeling tired (not much rest in hospital - I don know how you do it Bel), and have been told to take week off work to rest up a bit...which means that I'll work from home and take naps when I need to - I call it a compromise - DH calls me stupid!
Have booked in for your 20 week scan, and I think we are going to find out the sex. DH thinks it is a boy, I want it to be a boy (but will love a girl) so we figure we had better find out in case it is a girl and we need time to get our heads around it. Started buying stuff for the nursery - got to love ebay! Got our pram and a cradle - now just trawling for a cot and change table!
