Thanks so much for that. certainly gives me somewhere to start and some serious things to think about.

unfortunately, we are in the defence force, so no decorating for me as we are in one of their properties and we'll have to pack up and move, perhaps only a few weeks after bubs is born (obviously will be trying to avoid that one), so i'm going to have a very good think about what we buy and how much. And that also rules out baby shower unless i can get home to fnq , which i doubt, so at least we'll have that control.

but again, thanks so much for the advice. i'll certainly be rereading your post when we get further down the track.
