Hi Mels,
just grab onto the magic round about, it's a bit hectic in here at the moment and someone will catch up and say the things we want to say somewhere. we read everyone's posts and think the best even if we can't always say it.
So after Kaydee, you are our next cab off the ranks hey? You are second on the list from memory but since you have checked in we know you're still with us. Just as well you are all packed for hospital, I think I'll be packing a month ahead of time looking at Farmgirl's recent experience.
Smithy, you've passed the magic 12 weeks milestone. Any sign of that Ms letting up? Your body is amazing to have come through your past struggles and be doing so well. I guess it's just trying to protect you form this little foreign "invader". Hope it clears and you can enjoy the feeling soon.
Twomums if you're lurking, hope you and Kim are doing well. I know you don't post often but hope all is on track and you are feeling some exciting new changes together.
It's nice when you don't post for a while to see just how nothing stands still and everyone's tickers have moved along. even those newbies. It feels like forever when you are waiting for those numbers to rise and for that first little heartbeat scan but then in a few weeks it's all behind you and you are deep in the throes of morning sickness moving towards sleep deprivation and you KNOW you have well and truly arrived.
I had a surprising little blow out this morning while emailing a friend in the town I left before making my tree change and leaving all such people behind. I'm really feeling lonely. I used to have gorgeous trainees who were like daughters and I had a wonderful tight knit team at work and a massive extended network of people around work (as it was Council and I mixed with so many departments). you don't miss the phones ringing and the demands of the job, but you do miss being known and cared for genuinely by lots of people. And I'm a people person and care for them too. I guess that's where my whinge has been about no one noticing my bump or commenting, because noone knows me really. I never expected that I would be doing this all on my own without any family or friends to see me grow or to share day to day, not a single belly rub or comment. I guess isolation has it's draw backs on a day when You are feeling emotional. Of course DH is my world and an absolute dream but I'm sure you know what I mean. I am just missing a bit of contact with the people that love me and I think it's only going to get harder. this has come out of the blue as I had no idea I was feeling it and I'm going to stop because I'm getting worked up but forgive me for leaving my rant for you to read as I feel the need to share. Sorry.
