Pregnancy after Long Term TTC #5 - 2009

Big welcome to Bridget & Lilmisshavachat, congrats to you both on your pg's and hope you both have a smooth 9 months although there are heaps of fantastic girls in here to vent with.

Murph: This one's for you. I know we all can't wait to have a big belly but if Jazzy is hiding from the world for a little bit take it from me enjoy while you can. My belly is so big now that I am getting very tender around my belly button (which won't pop due to too much scar tissue from 5 previous laps) and I have now started to get pain below my belly button where my abdominal muscles are starting to seperate....youch..... this was something I was hoping to avoid as it takes longer for your belly to get back in shape afterwards as the muscles have to knit together again. Hopefully you will be one of the lucky ones and avoid this.

Anyway, DH & I went out for Thai last night.. Yummy... I can still taste it now. I think bubs really enjoyed as well as she wouldn't keep still during dinner at all, even sticking her foot out of my side which DH could see from the other side of the table. At least she slept well last night for me as I have had a couple of nights of poor sleep. We are also now able to play games with her, she likes to push her foot out and we will push back on it and she seems to then run away but comes back again almost immediately and pushes back. DH is really in awe of this as even though he feels kicking it is like she is responding back when he touches her which is nice for him to have some type of bonding before she arrives.

Anyway, better get back to my Sunday chores as MIL is coming next weekend for a visit for 5 days so want to keep the house at least tidy if not clean.

Hey girls,
just wanted to let you know that I am having trouble with my computer, the link keeps dying, my pages aren't displaying and I'm not sure if it's a problem with my connection or with the page loading but I can't update the EDD list at the moment. anyone else having trouble? Also my Nana died today and although I lost her many years ago really, it's something I'm dealing with and if I know myself, I'll be quiet for a bit while I process my feelings.

Thanks for your description KellyD and words of advice. I can't even imagine that feeling but at least the foot poking out and game playing sounds amazing and freaked out my DH when I read it to him.

I'll try again to post the updated list but have been trying for a few days. See you all soon. xox

Hi to everyone else. Sorry I can't do persies - have had some phenergan (sp?) and it makes me drowsy

Just thought I'd quickly update on what's going on at my end. Had another 'doppler' scan today - where they use the ultrasound machine to check the blood flow to babies' hearts, brains, other vital organs.

Twin 1 (my bigger one) has reduced amniotic fluid again, but the umbilical cord flows are all normal. Yay! Unfortunately twin 2's umbilical cord resistance has increased, which means he is probably not getting all the nutrition he needs, which would explain why he is so little. So, at this stage, it's not chronic enough to need to do anything right now, but they are going to do a full growth scan on Friday to look at him again, and if there is still resistance in the cord, and if his growth isn't satisfactory, then I need to prepare myself for delivery on saturday. eeeeeek!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, it may or may not happen, and either way I won't know until Friday, so I'm just trying to wrap my head around all of that.

Hi girls,

Just a quick post, sorry no personals.

Saw my OB at lunchtime and I dont have GD All bloods came back normal
However I do have high blood pressure so he has now put me on tablets twice a day. I have to go see him again next week and now have to do urine samples every time I see him. Also my tummy is measuring 35 cm which is quite big for my stage
Because of that he is sending me for an ultrasound at 30 weeks to check bubs measurements, blood flow and to see if my placenta has moved as it was lying low. So lots happening.

Sorry for the me post, just wanted to keep you updated. Will be back tomorrow for personals.
