Just a little one from me.

If I've missed congrats, I'll come back later and make up for it. Been studying, sick and a bit absent minded this past week...feeling very pregnant and a wee bit over it

JenC, thinking of you today lovely and hoping it all goes well...I know I will cry. It's one of those rollercoaster weeks and you're another of those rollercoaster stories. I'm so happy for you though and the names you have chosen are gorgeous, I love them and glad you're happy to shorten them (well Lachie anyway, so cute).

Hey MHB, oh you poor thing, you could write the book couldn't you, just that it may be the best contraception device after your experiences. I second everything Smithy said, (she's such a sweetie), wow, you should be soooo proud of your effort...and on top of that you did all those exams, work placements and your nursing, majorly huge ... and throwing up most days. That's worth a medal in my books!

BDT...yay, if you are having girls, I'm so happy for you!! Of course I'm happy either way and hope your DH gets over his shock. It's not official, so too early to be sure yet anyway. the reactions from your friends and family astound me. My DH was opposite, he fully expected and wanted a little girl and he is fantastic with our nieces, loves them to bits, just like all men do when they get over their egos. Mine doesn't have the ego thing going on (it can be such an obstacle). My Dad on the other hand had to make stupid comments, but yeah he has the lion's share of ego and he's the biggest softie there is when the baby is here safe and sound, nothing else matters.

KEllyD, don't feel silly, I do have some wonderful guardian angels around me that have been there most of my life, just not this old girl, but it was nice to remember all my other grandparents in that way and think of them even though I'm not religious, I am spiritual.

Ha, if this is short, I'd hate to see long. Better go so DH can have the internet.

Be back later for more. Big hugs to you all xox

Congratulations BDT for having two girls!!! They are happy and healthy, that is the main thing. About the family's reaction, don't take it to heart, wait until they see the babies, they will change their mind I am sure...

Smithy, you are next! Looking forward to finding out if Charlie is blue or pink!

Ok, gate crashing is over, I am going now....

Congratulations to BDT....twin girls how exciting. And I completely agree with CPie try not to take family's reaction to heart, I'm positive they will have a change of mind when they see those beautiful babies, they are healthy that's the most important thing.

I hope you don't mind me coming in girls, I know I don't belong here but just had to congratulate BDT on her fantastic news.

    Good afternoon girls,

    Firstly..............

CONGRATULATIONS MHB! You poor thing, you've had such a rough time! Sorry to hear the birth didnt go well. Hope bubs is putting on weight and Im sure its a HUGE relief to finally meet him and hold him in your arms. Take care xx

BDT - WOO HOO, congrats on your pink bundles, thats GREAT NEWS Some people can be so insensitive and mean. Who cares what you have, as long as they are healthy and arrive safely. My DP also wants a boy, again the whole "carrying on the family name" but he says as long as its healthy is all that matters

Jen - thinking of you and your little ones. Cant wait to hear from you!

Kelly - hopefully my beloved PIES will bounce back this week, hehe Just bought my tickets this morning for Saturday night actually Look forward to hearing the date of when your bubs is being delivered

to Murph, Grub, BOC, Smithy and everyone else.

AFM, saw my OB yesterday and my BP has come down a little so he is pleased with that and so am I Still have to stay on my medication. No protein in my urine either. I am starting to swell a bit and am getting very tired so he has told me to cut back to a 4 day week which I told my boss so we are going to arrange that as of next week. Looking forward to that as I am out for 11 hrs a day from when I leave home until I come home so VERY tiring. Had a swab "down there" yesterday as well to check for infection. Start our ante-natal classes tonight which Im looking forward to.

    Take care all,

    Tania

Hey girls - have been lingering in the background - still sick - but think it is easing back now.

Congrats on everyone having bubs - I haven't been on here since the last thread.

Saph - just wanted to let you know one of my friends has had to wear a brace for her last 2 pregnancies - however her last pregnancy she also physio for it too and apparently made a world of difference

    Hi Girls

Just a quick one from me... Still waiting to get my c/s date organised, my OB is going to be on holidays when the c/s will need to happen so I am getting booked in with another OB. Only good thing is the other OB is one that I dealt with previously at the FS and he actually did the surgery for my ectopic in Dec 08 and was actually the OB I originally wanted to go with but he was fully booked with deliveries. So appears I have ended up going full circle, just now waiting to hear from the clinic what date can be origanised but it will definately be the week of the 12/10 unless she decides to come earlier seeing as she has now dropped even lower into my pelvis. Will let you all know when the date has been organised.

Take care of all those bundles cooking away.

    Hi ladies,

Sorry i have been MIA again!!!!!!

M+H+B - congratulations - sorry to hear the birth wasn't everything you desired but hey still a great outcome!!!! How is the liver thing going?

BDT - YEAH..... TWIN GIRLS.... All those lovely clothes and getting to have a really girly nursery and my god DH will get over it - two daddies girls i bet! I'm 1 of 3 girls and my dad wouldn't have it any other way! Ignore all others you are truly blessed and there is so many other things to concentrate on like resting!

To all of you who are getting close i'm sending up lots of and to everyone else i hope your all treating yourselves well and RESTING! Sorry no personnals.

AFM - DH away atm and i'm missing him like crazy! I'm getting very big - tipped over 90kg on the scales today but it's all babies (well most of it is!!) The boys are kicking and moving alot - one kicks and moves up high the other feels like he is going to drop out! I have my next scan and appt friday including bloods and urine tests - last scan was great only 10% growth difference now so it stays minimal. I feel great just resting and relaxing and hoping i don't end up in hospital like everyone else in my twins thread

Take care lovely ladies and be extra nice to yourselves...

    Hi Bella,
look after yourself and I really hope you don't end up in hospital with your twinnies thread girls too. for a while there, I was imagining all the twin thread girls tucked up in the same cyber ward, hanging out in hospy together. I just wanted to tell you about a friend of mine who gained 30kg with both of her babies from fluid retention (both bubs born years apart and singletons). She was fit and healthy and lifestyle played no part, it's just what your body decides. 15 kg came off the minute the babies were born, the rest through breast feeding and lifestyle. The babies were good sizes but not huge, 8 and 9 pounds. A year on and she is looking gorgeous and healthy. It's only a small window of time in the big picture so don't be too concerned about tipping the scales. I'm at the opposite end and I'm not petite but I'm just not gaining and have to rest every day for Jazzy to grow, so it makes you feel like you're not doing enough or you did something, worked too hard early in the pg, missed some crucial growth thing...you know all that mother guilt I've reached a whopping 5 kilo weight gain in 7 1/2 months and get the comments now, "oh you're starting to show". It's come as a bit of an anticlimax I must admit to have the comments starting now, it's like, well I bloody well hope so!! Anyway, so big or small, we all get there and our babies can surprise us by coming out small when we're big or big when we're small. I think I'm hiding a 10 pounder between these child-bearing hips of mine

    All the best.xoxo

    Hi girls
Just thought I'd give a few details about my birth experience - I was induced on Sunday and my induction went well so I feel extremely lucky as I was dreading it. Waters were broken and drip started at 8am - I was having contractions almost immediately. Made it to 6-7cm by 12.30 then to 8-9cm by 2pm when I reluctantly called for the epidural (though with hindsight, the best decision I could have made). I started pushing by 5.30 and because Zach was so big I had an episiotomy and forceps - he was out by 6.30. I cannot begin to describe the feelings of joy when he was born. And I won't even try, as each of you will experience it soon enough!! My 2 invaluable tips for labour for what they are worth (1) the TENS machine was fabulous and certainly without it I would never have got to transition drug free and (2) the book Birth Skills by Juju Sundin- again, without that knowledge and practical advice I would have struggled with labour.
Zach and I are home now. He's feeding and sleeping very well so no complaints here! Thank you girls all for your wishes and for your support throughout my pregnancy journey.
I will continue to follow your progress!
    Love to you all

MHB sorry it wasn't a dream birth but I'm so glad it's all ok now. congrats

Smithy goodluck next week, do you have a feeling?

Jen, you've been in my thoughts, hope it all went A OK.

Had a bit of sad news this week my friend had a M/C at 8 weeks, I was so sad for her. TTC hasn't been easy and she did this one natural, so I'm hopeful she'll have a similar experince to me. Cake date with her tomorrow, Can't help feeling a little guilty I know it's silly but there it is.

Hi all you lovely preggie ladies,

MHB you had a rough trott and then studing on top of that but look at the out come beautiful little boy, I hope everything goes nice and smoothly for you.

BDT yah 2 little pinkies thats great news so happy for you

Mel arrrrrh what a great birth story you will never forget it. Congrats on little Zach

Grub rest up a good a nice warm bath and a long sleep will do the trick.

Missmagpie thats great news your BP is going down and no protein.

KellyD hope you can use that OB what happens if you can't?

Greenslw sorry to hear about your friend hope she is ok, my sister found out she was preganant not sure how far she was as she has PSOS but after a couple of days she got really bad cramps then started to bleed heavy it's very sad as we both find it hard to fall pregnant she is doing OK now.

    Murph and Smithy

AFM I am still in hossy will be here till the end my little man is now in the 2 percentile so they could potentially be joining me in a week or 2 depending on his dopplers I was told today that the little twin was measuring at 26 weeks weighing 1083g and the bigger one is measuring at 32 weeks weighing 1660g so a big difference . I also had a tour of the NICU they showed me a baby that ws the same size of my little one it was good to see so I know what to expect if they came early. Also saw a baby that had been there for 5 weeks when he first was born he weighed 470grms he now weighs over a kilo and looks great.

    Keep baking those babies

    Hi Girls

Just a quickie.... C/S date has been booked we will be meeting our little princess on Monday 12th October so 11 days earlier than her due date. That means I now have 31 more days left until she arrives and will be counting down and now making sure I have everything organised for the big day as it is really getting close now.

Take care all and I will check in on you soon... Patiently waiting to hear from Jen to see how her little boys are doing.
