AFM.. I feel a little lost in no mans land right now.. The intial elation has dimmed down (not that i'm not excited still) I have bought what I want to buy for now and I think that since I don't have MS and only a little exhaustion I am finding moments when I just don't feel PG and it's a little scary.. I feel like I need to run off and have a scan just to make sure there is something growing inside.. I mean.. I know there must be cause I am still tired and my BB's are still big and tender but apart from a little paunch it all just seems surreal at the moment.. Has anyone else felt like this through their pregnancy... I just feel like I need something to be doing.. Perhaps a side effect of IVF... Anyway.. I guess i'll just have to wait til the 13th October for my NT scan... Good luck everyone.. I hope to get to know you all better soon...

Lilmisshavachat -Hi I am a bit of a lurker in this thread but saw this and identified with you! I felt this once the morning sickness left at around 13 weeks. I remember starting to say to my midwife 'I no feel longer sick and I can't feel movement yet so....' and then she finished off my sentence with 'you don't feel like you are pregnant anymore?' I was so happy to hear she knew what I was talking about. She said it is quite common and said that we should pop straight onto the doppler to hear the baby's heartbeat to reassure me.

I also think that we LTTCers are so used to being proactive that to just sit and let nature take its course is difficult for us. In our heads nature never did anything for us without our help before so why would it now? This leads to a massive activity gap in our lives when we do finally get pregnant. We are so used to taking this pill or that, sniffing that drug or injecting that needle. Remembering what time to do this or that on some complicated protocol or counting days and recording temperatures etc etc. My biggest shock was the what I saw as lack of interest from the non FS medical profession. I couldn't believe that at first they only wanted to see me every couple of months to check on the baby or whatever. I couldn't believe when the only advice I was given was 'eat healthily, avoid these foods and alcohol etc' It was sooooo laidback compared to the nitty gritty we have to get down to in the fertility treatment world!!!

Anyway I have just realised that I have ranted for ages in response when you probably just wanted to hear 'yeah me too'!!!!! Anyway I found it quite carthatic writing down my feelings so I hope you don't mind!!!

BTW can I join this thread?
