Sorry i have been quite of late, we are packing house and moving on Friday so haven't had much time to post. There are so many of us now its hard to keep up unless you are on here everyday.
We have kicks!!!!!!!! Yay! Been waiting forever with this anterior placenta!! I have felt them and Kim got two big kicks and a roll over last night! Getting really excited about Noah being here in less than 15 weeks!
Poor Kim has had nearly every pregnancy condition so far: morning sickness, sore boobs, a bleed, thrush, pregnancy rhinitis (causing a post nasal drip and very sore throat), a hemorrhoid, irritable bladder, painful braxton hicks contractions, round ligament pain, indigestion/heartburn etc. We had our 24 week OB appt and heard the heartbeat again so that was reassuring considering at that stage we didn't feel the baby moving.
So if the first trimester and the second trimester are anything to go by, i am hoping that the third trimester we only get minor pregnancy related conditions. We have to hope not to get gestation diabetes, IUGR, pre-eclampsia, premature labour, group b strep, anemia, and hope for only backaches, shortness of breath, varicose veins, stretch marks just to name a few. Can only hope for the less worrisome ones huh!
Saph, Smithy, BDT, congrats on getting over your 12 week (mental) hurdle and your NT scans!!
Congrats Greenslw on your engagement! What an exciting time for you!
Hey Murph and Grub, the clowns of this group obviously, thank you so much for all your wonderful funny and supportive posts!
Jen and Azzarene - I hope you arent being driven too mad in hosi, keep those babes a cookin a little longer hey!!
Sammijam - Sorry for your loss, i understand how confused you must be trying to grieve for one baby while staying positive about the other baby. I am so glad that you have found some support through this thread.
Frosty's Mum - I am so very sorry for you sweetheart. Dont give up tho, you will have a family someday. But do give yourself time to grieve the loss of your son Benjamin. My thoughts are with you.xxx
BOC - Glad you didnt get MS too bad and glad that Hubby is excited with you about the scan!
KellyD - This third trimester isn't going to be fun is it? I hope the next few weeks go fast for you!
Miss Magpie - How are you love? And how come you had to have a GD test at 15 weeks? Kim had some blood tests at 12 weeks but nothing since. Not even a wee test. Only blood pressure and a little listen to the heartbeat with the doppler at our OB visits. When are you meant to have the GD test? Are we missing out on a test lol... I dont think kim could handle having to drink ANYTHING and keep it in for more than 15 minutes. She'll freak out! If she lets a little bit of wee go when she coughs hard or sneezes she starts to cry...oh the hormones. She's getting much better now tho.
Mahli - When kim got thrush we went to the chemist and she said we could only use the cream not the applicator for some reason. I am sure you have sorted it out by now anyhow. Kim said the cream didn't do squat, so she just got the pessaries and popped them up there with her finger. Worked much faster. No harm done.
31Bec - I hope the MS settles down for you soon. Kim tried the Blackmores MS formula. It did help.
Neptune - How are we going on the project clean up? I'm afraid i would send hubby on a weekend fishing or something and get a skip and start throwing it all out or have a big yard sale. But maybe you are a little more patient than i am. He needs a designated shed and thats it. Boundaries... anyway enough of that from me, i hope you two sort it all out eventually to make a nice nursery for bubs.
Mels and MHB - All the best for your impending delivery, it will all be over before you know it and you will finally meet these wonderful little people! I cant wait to hear the news!
Big hello to everyone else that we haven't heard from in a while. I hope you are all baking away nicely!
Good luck to MHB, Mels and KellyD!!!! This is very exciting!
AFM: DH emptying out a room as we speak! He has made a bit of space outside under the awning. Frankly it is a huge mess and the house is currently worse than ever, but I feel like there is some progress and he definitely seems motivated. And we are getting along well, which helps enormously.....he had been quite cranky of late, probably with the overwhelming job in front of him. Twomums, we have been down the skip path, not good to throw his stuff out without his say so, it traumatises him.
PLUS got 96% for psychology essay, don't ask me how, but I am stoked!!!! Exam on Monday, then that's it for the year.
Just wanted to pop in and wish Azzrenae and Jen all the best. My thoughts are with you both being stuck in hospital. Hoping your boys keep growing strong and stay inside for as long as possible.
Best wishes to MHB for Monday.
Belly rubs to you all. Keep growing beautiful big bellies!
