Ive been sleeping on my side with one of those long belly support pillows since i was about 14 weeks. personally I find it helps alot with the backache and feeling comfortable.. Sometimes even if i sit sort of slouched on the couch on my back a bit I get a bit dizzy when I stand up.. Good idea about propping the pillows behind you so u dont roll on your back i might try that one..

I am so hot I have got sweat running between my boobs. Yuck. Bring on the cooler weather. Or birth.

    Funny posts today ladies

I have hobbit feet, they are so swollen, next to no ankles. Not very attractive I guess I should stop walking around the shops buying cute baby gear.

I have a pregnancy pillow on one side of me, and a smaller normal type pillow on the other side, so it is easy to flip from side to side, but absolutely necessary to support belly and put between knees. Now if only my groin pain would leave me alone.

I saw my OB yesterday, both girls are breech I don't know how serious I need to be to try to do things to get twin 1 to flip at least. Travelling well so far, but at 33 weeks I guess I could go any time, and was really hoping for a VB, so could be running out of time. Any ideas?

    Love to all.

Green, just a special note to you to say woo hoo on doing so well and am counting down the days with you.

    xx

    Hello ladies

Appointment with Ob went really well yesterday. Both DH and i walked away happy with our choice of Dr. We are now all officially booked into hospital, Ob and well on our way I even got my bounty bad. How exciting. DH said we should have got two as we are having two bubs.. haha.. We opened up the sample nappy and couldnt believe how cute and tiny it is! Now booked in for NT scan on the 1st Feb, the day we leave for Thailand oh and the BT to go with the scan will be done on the 25th Jan. Cant wait to see our lil ones again and hope and pray all will be ok.

As for the belly pillow, i have been using a normal pillow for the last two weeks or so to rest sideways on as im kind of a half belly sleeper and feels really uncomfortable to lay on my belly. I dont think ill be buying a pregnancy pillow as i have heard lots of ladies say that they stop using it from mid to late pregnancy as it just gets in the way. Ill just see how i go.

Baby Dreamtime i hope you find a way to turn twin 1 and get the birth you really want. I have everything crossed for you.

Lise - just a quick thought. Been chatting to a friend of mine, who took her baby away at about 15 weeks, and she had a last minute panic because baby didn't have a passport. Admittedly, it was a British passport, and therefore probably took longer to get than an Australian getting a passport in Australia, but you might want to pick up the forms in advance and have the paperwork ready so that you can submit it as soon as bub is born and you've taken the photos (my friend had two sets rejected, check up on the requirements before you take baby in!) and find out where/ how etc? One less thing to stress about when baby is born, I guess.

AFM, I have a new strange symptom. My belly button itches. I don't think I've noticed my belly button for the 35 ooops no 36 years of it's existance. Is itching normal? I'm worried that I'm definitely sticking out at 12 and a half weeks and you 15 week ladies aren't! I might skip todays ice-cream....

Hmm - and I'm irritated too that I haven't had an OB appointment yet! Grrr. I want a goody bag!!!

LM don't stress too much about your belly. Check out my photos on my link see how huge I was! Now my belly is still huge but all the weight I've gained is all in my belly & boobs whereas my other friends have all gained it everywhere so I'm not complaining! And as for ice cream don't deny it, babies loooove ice cream and it's very good for them... well that's my story anyway and I'm sticking to it

As for the itchy belly button, try getting a cotton bud and putting some sorbolene cream on the end and roll it around in your belly button. There might just be some loose dry skin or lint in there. But beware, if you have ever had a spray tan the gunk that comes out is disgusting (sorry )

I am so going to quote you on that to DH... "it's the glucose darling, for the baby to grow"

was feeling a little light headed, realised the dog had turned the gas on the big hob and am sat here gassing myself. Talk to go out for a walk I think!

LM, Boc is totally right. Babies love, nay, NEED ice-cream. That is what makes them so sweet when they come out. Well, that and candy, cake and cream-filled pastries. Do not deny yourself. In my first 3 months my legs, butt and boobs went gargantuan. I gained 21.3 kg in 13 weeks. (ok I was preg with twins for half that time) but my body realised it was pregnant straight away and wanted to store fat in case of famine and for BF. Since then I have not put on much at all and its all about the belly now. DH says that I needed to add more booty and boobs for balance, that I would be toppling forwards had I not, lol.

One (awful) thing though, itching is the first sign of stretchmarks. It could be that you are about to get a couple of teeny ones around your cute little bellybutton.

AFM- bloody well moving house. Our lease was up and our current house is not suitable for waddling pregnant mamas or babies. We thought it best we go now and just get it over with. Luckily we found a great house to move into however our current landlords are furious we are moving out (as they are travelling around Australia in a motor home) as they have to come back and re-tenant the house. Not our problem as there is a little thing called a LEASE *sammie rolls eyes* which means we are free and clear to move, but still they are being VERY snarky about it.

3 years ago when we got the keys and started moving in, it was the 17th of January. They - the landlords- gave us a couple weeks for "free" (not really as the condition was if we bought 2 of their fridges that they couldnt sell in the trading post for $900 then we could get the keys straight away)

Well it was so long ago and the date of the 17th of jan has stuck in my mind ever since. We stupidly assumed that they would just start the lease from the date we moved in, the 17th of jan, and then just not charge for rent until the 1st of feb. We signed and dated everything the 17th of jan but didnt double check start lease date (which was on another page) After that we just verbally agreed to continue the lease for another year and they wrote a fairly informal letter which we signed in front of a JP. We have been perfect tenants and have never been late with the rent or damaged anything.

So, after all this, we timed everything, like using up our 2 weeks in advance, for the 17th of Jan. We sent the right amount of notice to the landlords and everything did everything correctly. Got an email from them this morning. We have to keep paying until the 31st. GRRRRRRR. We are out about $1000. We are going to be FLAT BROKE for a while as we had to pay the bond and rent in advance for the new place and are doubling up on nearly a months rent. I tell you what though, we are leaving things in here and not getting the cleaning done until THE VERY VERY END cos the landlords think they are going to get new tenants in here asap as we will essentially be gone by the 17th. NOT HAPPENING. Also I am going to make them give the proper amount of notice each and every they want to bring people through before the 31st. I know I am being a b with an itch but I cant help it. I am genetically predisposed to it lol.

On a more positive note, I am finally over the worst of the grieving for my fur-baby. I miss him heaps and cant look at pictures yet but I am over the gut-wrenching sobbing and pain. Cant say the same for my kitty-cat. She is pining terribly. Weird really as she HATED him when was around. Nearly clawed his eyes out on numerous occasions. I am hoping the change of environment will do her good and she will get back to eating and being mean. All this silent moping and staring at where Lil B used to sit is disturbing. I am positively FREAKED at how she wont yowl for food every couple of hours and how affectionate she is being. A total change in personality...

Hugs and belly rubs to all you sweet girls,

    Sammie

Hi London Miss~ Thats funny, having an itchy belly button.I had that when i was 15 or so an definately wasnt pregnant.Turned out it was infected.Very strange.Treated it with something the dr gave me to dab on it.Unless there is a discharge or odour, its probably just stretching and that can cause itchiness.
Im 10 weeks and the sides of my tummy are itchy, just like it was when having my son.Im also having itchiness all over.I just woke up scratching my arm, ankle, face.I look like i have fleas,im scratching so much! LOL

Paula~Congrats on a great ob appt.A goody bag!! I only got one 'after' i gave birth last time. You lucky girl.I have had 2 scans due to the ivf and dont have my first ob appt until 12 weeks,so almost there and looking forward to seeing my bub again. It is exciting isnt it?

AFM i tried sleeping on my side lastnight but kept turning to my back. Its funny because i have slept on my tummy for years and before i was pregnant i trained myself to sleep on my back(which i hated!!) so as to prevent wrinkles. Now that i have faded my unsightly wrinkle,i have to now learn to squash it again by side sleeping..hahaha.Aaahh the sacrifices women make.
Regarding the Nuchal Translucency scan, did everyone here on the forum who have passed that date, had it done? Im thinking, after reading about it in my book, about not doing it.Just curious if anyone else went without it?

Hoping everyone else is doing well.Belly rubs to all.xx

MMMMM Ice cream. Chocolate are a pregnant womans friend. As long as you maintain a healthy diet dont worry about your shape size or weight. I am absolutely huge, much bigger than with DS and I have only put on 2kg. Which I put on before 20 weeks when I was still throwing up everyday. Since then nothing.

Hello ladies! Yes I am still here.....extremely grumpy and crotchety but still here....

Sorry ladies but I have just not got the head space to even attempt persies today. Fed up fed up and fed up now!!! I have enjoyed reading everything you have been talking about so thanks for cheering me up a bit!

I am so sick of pubic pain (I actually have nightmares about having to turn over in bed now....For Real!!!), not sleeping (BTW my pregnancy pillow has been banished! It is a big massive V one with long legs IYKWIM. I am saving it for breastfeeding in bed as back support because NOTHING gets me comfortable now!!!) and heartburn. I am sick of BH starting and then going away. I am sick of not feeling anything that indicates that this baby might come soon. I am also dreading him coming late because I do not want to be induced!!! I know I am only 38 weeks but I just want him to decide not a bloody doctor!

I am however still enjoying his movements because they are so big now and quite distinguishable as feet or bottom or hands etc.

We have had snow!!!! So much that it would be almost impossible to go to the hospital if I was to go into labour! But at least it has meant a few extra days with DH at home because he cannot get into work. My dad has left the witch and is staying with my brother for the meantime as his arrival would have cooincided with my brief jaunt in hospital with the ectropion. So now I am delaying his visit further by saying he needs to get his finances sorted before he arrives (he has all sorts of appointments with retirement and pension people in London so it would be silly to come here yet) as he won't be able to find a flat etc without cash. Hopefully the baby comes before he comes because then his arrival is delayed further because we requested a 'babymoon'. Then DH would get our last days together as a couple and then straight into a babymoon. The pressure of that deadline is getting to me though!!!!

I want to attach my facebook photo album of my bump to my signature...does anyone know how to do that? I thought you girls in the heat might like to see my bump pic in the snow!!!

    Belly rubs!!!

    Hey London Miss..

Its pretty normal that ur BB is itching.. especially if you are showing a bit already? After a while longer your whole belly will itch.. Its just cuz of the streatching skin from the uterus growing..

24 weeks today! Ive reached my next celebrative milestone! my next one is 28 weeks, then 30
