Hiya!
Seph:back hun! I have often wondered what happened to you and was hoping everything was going swimmingly! Good luck on your scan, wow feels like only yesterday you were tentatively dipping your toes in this thread after receiving your
!
Smithy: Hey there goober girl! I have to admit I wasat the thought of you chasing Coops around waving bits of CM! Oh and v. jealous of the junk food for lunch! Would kill for some hot chips & scallops but Captain Heartburn says no
Poppy: Love the pics! How is your furbaby coping with the impending arrival? Mine isn't too fussed, very wary of entering the nursery but loves napping across my belly and playing kicksies with Cookie. Sending sweet labour vibes your way!
mitf: I had the same thing around 8-12 weeks at night. Kind of felt like someone pulling your hips apart. I was told it was that they were starting to move to make room for bub. Just try not to lay on one side for too long. Easier said than done though, I know!
kyra: mmmm smoothie! More a berry type myself, and loving fruit crushies too! Just bought myself one of those freezie mugs today so lots of crushy stuff for me YAY!
Green: Glad to hear you're relaxing. And don't worry, I couldn't nap in the beginnig either, took a little practice. I started by allocating an hour a day just sitting back in the recliner or laying on the bed with furbaby even if I didn't sleep I was resting. Didn't take too long before I started dozing off. Good luck!
LM: Hope you enjoyed the waffle... I mean walk ;-)
Hi andto everyone I've missed!
Well last night's antenatal class was interesting. Instructor was abit of a wet dishrag but nevertheless went through some stuff. I think I'm just way too overinformed cause I'd already read up on a lot of it. Most intersting part was the video. In a room of about 10 couples, all first-time parents, some with no idea what goes on in labour (how thoey could've read nothing yet at 30+ weeks is beyond me but anyway) when the video played it was DH who went a lovely shade of grey and almost passed out! Yep my hard-a*se macho DH who has been present for childbirth before! I was flabbergasted! Anyway gives me lots of ammunition to torment him now *insert evil laugh* but at least he said he was really glad he went and he got a lot out of it as things have changed quite a bit in 27 years.
And as for today, been a busy little bee. I went into my hossy bags checklist and realised that bar the gatorade and muesli bars, oh and the birth plan a.k.a "wish list", my labour bag is ready to go! So it's now all packed and even the other hossy bag for me & Cookie is 2/3 packed now too! Very proud of myself! And feel a big sense of relief too, knowing that I could go anytime now and at least be ok and comfy for labour.
A little bit of a scary thought, one of my friends who is also 27 weeks and is having #4 is already 4/5 engaged!
Anyway hope you all have a great weekwend! I'm picking my parents up from the airport (they've been to a family wedding in Sri Lanka) and will prob spend a couple of days there. Catch you all soon![]()
