Nixon- I am too far behind you to know the answers to your questions sorry, but I am glad you trust your Ob....I so wish I could have private care throughout. I guess the stresses/worries of pregnancy just change as we go along!
Megan- the 4d scan sounds amazing! Do most places offer those...to they cost much more? I am not sure what to expect, all I know is I go to the public clinic from 12 wks
afm- I am a little concerned, but trying not to stress, as my queasiness seemed to ease right away yesterday and this morning I feel OK too....should I worry? does MS, or just the general queasiness I have been experiencing, come and go?
possums - my queasiness would leave for a few days then come back with a vengeance - scared the crap out of me every time! FWIW - ms is usually (and i say usually, cos mine isn't goin away properly yet!) at it's worst from weeks 7-9 and then it tapers off. if you've worked out how to manage it, it is great, but also scares you big time!
Possums - from what I have heard it comes and goes. Some women get it worse when that have not eaten very much first thing, others seem to get it constantly all the time. I think I remember a few of the ladies in here saying it would be bad for a day or two and then ease off then bad again. That would make sense to me. Maybe it's becuase your body creates hormones in spurts and your tummy is just trying to catch up...when it does catch up you get another burst of hormones and you are back to feeling sicky. The tiny, tiny amount of sickness I experienced was like that especially if I had not eaten.

OK thanks ladies, feel a bit better about that now. It was just so strange last night to be able to eat whatever I chose for dinner and feel good about it
I should tell you again how grateful I am to have this site, just for even these little things!
nixon - with the breech bub ive known ladies whos bubs still hadnt turned even at 35 36 weeks, thats when they start to worry and your OB will most likely try to turn the bub manually although it is very tricky it can be done, it doesnt hurt the bub he will just play around with your tum and bit, it also doesnt mean you cant have a vaginal birth either, my DF was born breech legs first! all vaginally but with a bit of help so its not the end of the world, but after about 32 weeks only 3% of bubs remain in that position. I hope the little squirt does a flip for you soon!
possums - as you know im the queen of morning sickness, or all day sickness! and i get worse days that others usually every 3 or 4 days and then im off to the ER again, it is mildly easing off but i know its the calm before the storm, so dont stress if it comes and goes.
Nixon - i was breach up until 2 weeks before EDD - they thought mum would have to have a c/s for breach baby cos i refused to move no matter what. she had a little fall and bumped my bum out of her pelvis, i flipped and engaged same day!
damn shame the doc was impatient and did a c/s day after her EDD - he induced her early to try to prove his dates were right not hers - i was born 4 days after his guesstimate, one day after hers...
Well I'm here again. Just coming out of a stressful 3 weeks with my family. All is settling down now though. I don't mean to ignore you all. I secretly come on every day to check how everyone is going, but just don't often get time to post.
I'm excited to let you all know we are 18 weeks today and things are going really well. I'm pretty big and still have a lot of bladder discomfort, but that's a small price to pay for the gift we have been given. Have felt 3 kicks from the outside and can easily hear little heartbeats on my doppler. I have 2 very busy little babies inside me who like to move around as much as they can!!
Not going to try to catch up on everyone's personals. I would be sure to miss someone and you all mean a lot to me.

Nicole, you sure can. They check the gender in the usual 2d scan mode if you want them to but the actual 4d they just focus on the head, feet and hands. I had to fill in and sign a form saying I knew the sex and was happy to have it confirmed, so you just have to tell them.
Nixon, I haven't specifically been told thats how many movements I should feel, but it sounds right from what I have been experiencing. There are still some quiet days in between, but I at least get lots of little movements many times during the day and night.
Possums, the 4d scan is completely non-medical and there are a few places around that do them. There is no referral needed. If you google 4d ultrasound hopefully you will be able to find one near you. The two in vic I looked at were early images and 4dbonding if you want to take a look at those to get an idea of what they do. As for the m/s, I would have to say that's completely normal. Whenever I had a day of feeling ok, I would get worried and anxious. It definitely seemed to come and go.
