Nicole, you sure can. They check the gender in the usual 2d scan mode if you want them to but the actual 4d they just focus on the head, feet and hands. I had to fill in and sign a form saying I knew the sex and was happy to have it confirmed, so you just have to tell them.
Nixon, I haven't specifically been told thats how many movements I should feel, but it sounds right from what I have been experiencing. There are still some quiet days in between, but I at least get lots of little movements many times during the day and night.
Possums, the 4d scan is completely non-medical and there are a few places around that do them. There is no referral needed. If you google 4d ultrasound hopefully you will be able to find one near you. The two in vic I looked at were early images and 4dbonding if you want to take a look at those to get an idea of what they do. As for the m/s, I would have to say that's completely normal. Whenever I had a day of feeling ok, I would get worried and anxious. It definitely seemed to come and go.
