afm- just had another HCG BT and very nervous waiting for results (this is around the time things went off track last time). Also I have been feeling sick, with cold shivers on and off all day...and headaches and stiff neck! I don't know what to count as pregnancy symptoms and what is something else. Any thoughts?
Do you know what possums - I just remembered I had a very similar thing when I was around the 5 - 6 week mark. Heachache, chills, slight fever, my whole body ACHED. I just remembered now - we had gone to canberra for my Dad's birthday and to tell the family about the pregnancy. It was around 10 days after we had the BFP conifmed.
I couldn't eat properly and ended up leaving Dad's b-day dinner early because I felt so terrible. I took panadols and slept for about 4 days. No runny nose or sore throat or anything else just the symptoms described above.
Weird, but sounds similar to what you are experiencing.....?
Nixon- thank you-does sound similar. I am going to see my chiro/acupuncturist this arvo which will hopefully help...i have a bad back/neck at the best of times
make sure the chiro knows that you're pg possums - mine has altered the way he treats me due to the pg - for some adjustments that he used to have me on my tum using downward pressure he now has me on my back using a more upward pressure kwim?
Possums, I was sick in early pg too with headache, temp, sore throat, aches and pains and it ended up being tonsilitis. I just think because your immune system is a bit low during pg that you are likely to pick up a bug here and there. Might be an idea to go the Dr, especially if you think you have a temp. There's only one thing he could prescribe me, but I felt better having it checked out.
Nixon, calmbirth was very interesting. Have only done one class so far, but really looking forward to the rest of them. She only teaches 2 couples at a time which I was surprised about, but it's good for us. Plenty of opportnity for questions. I've done a track on the first CD most days. DH did it with me on Saturday and was snoring in less than 10 minutes! How often are you practicing?
Bg- thanks...yeh will do- this guy has a great approach incorporating the acupuncture and energy healing as well...he has helped me through IVF etc and when I was pregnant before and I hope he will now help me feel better and also balance things and help this little one stay with us!
Megan - I haven't practiced since before Christmas. I was sick with a very runny nose which makes the breathing techniques v. difficult.
We finished CB classes early Dec and I'm feeling very confident now. I have my rough birth plan and also I have notes for DH on all the things he can do for me to assist during the birth. visualsation tigger words - massage - etc. You'll find out heaps more by the end of the classes.
I try and do at least one track per week at the moment and will increase that as time goes on. I was only 16 weeks or something when we started the classes (very early compared to a lot of others) but you wouldn't believe how much it calmed my anxiety about the pregnancy and impending birth. DH tells everyone how much of a change he say in me - even from the end of the first session.
So, I'm not too worried about doing a track every single day at the moment IYKWIM? I think I'll start trying to do 3 a week from now on. I listen to the 45 minute track while I'm at acupuncture - double the relaxation.
