ok Megan, BG and HM - that is soooo not fair that you 1. lost weight and 2. have cloths falling off I'm not yet at 10 weeks and am having to sort my jeans into the pile that I can and can not wear Certainly have not lost weight, just transfered muscle into fat and deposited it on my hips and tummy - talk about jelly belly! Having already got 2 x mat bras I'm seriously thinking of what cloths I need next just in order to have something fit me.

But in all seriousness - HM - its a big move you are undertaking dont be tough on yourself for getting stressed and upset about it - I think any of us would be in the same situation, esp when you add a pg on top of it.

Megan - congrats on making it to the 3rd trimester - not long to go now!

Tl - hope that the test results come back fine - sure they will, and that is great news about the AP working - must be making a huge difference to how you feel.

Bee - what a beautiful gift your baby has brought you to be able to remember your brother in that way. Just makes this an extra special little boy.

Nixon - loved the story about your DH -very cute!

AFM - next ob appointment is this arvo - hanging out for the scan and that Tex's heartbeat is still strong. DH is away till later tonight so I will just have to be strong all by myself this time DH and I have decided to do the Downs tests, so I guess we will be booking in for all those things if all goes well today. May even go and do some cloths/baby shopping after ob appointment for some retail therapy... I'm doing my boss' job (plus mine) for the next 3 weeks, so that is not going to do wonders for my stress levels - but hey, what is the worst that can happen...

    Wishing everyone well.

FG - i lost a LOT of weight at the start of pregnancy, no matter how much i ate - but i had ample to lose! i think the change in eating habits just changed my metabolism heaps. i still haven't put any of it back on - but have a distinct little pot now, so i'm guessing as Gremlin grows, i am still shrinking a little bit... i have packed away some of my clothes that i just didn't feel would be appropriate during pregnancy - pants that had no give in the material etc - i just figured even though they technically fit, if i do have a bloated or popped day (which i've had a bit lately), they just wouldn't be comfy... i only have one top that even makes me look pg - and i think that's only the style of the top - no one yet has commented on me being pg except for a couple of girls at work who've told me that i look great with the weight loss - yay! the weight loss had me really stressed for a while though because i just kept eating and couldn't seem to stop losing it - didn't help that, when i had UTI, the GP said "oh, you shouldn't lose weight in pregnancy" - wtf? look at it on a case by case basis!

not a lot happening here - have a baby going ballistic in my tummy who has decided shopping isn't her fave thing (either that, or it IS her fave thing, but making mummy dizzy makes me think not!). she loves the sounds of daddy's voice even over the phone (gotta love speaker phone), and detests the sounds of norti cats doing norti things outside mummy's bedroom window at 3.30am - OMG - the KICKS!!!

FG- good luck with the appt...I bet you are nervous and excited about the scan...I always feel that way

TL- Charlotte needs to just wriggle around a bit then glad she is doing so well

megan - glad to hear things went well with your appt and all is good

BG- re weight loss...that's interesting and that's not something I expect to happen. I am pretty small and just have a slightly bloated rounded tummy at this stage. Glad you are feeling lots of kicks now

HM- hope you are feeling ok...it is a big move

GL at your appt today FG!
TL, Charlotte obviously wants to stretch out as much as she can while she can! I've started iron supps again today because I was told mine were really low at my appt too. Levels dropped from 56 at 17w to 8 yesterday. No wonder I am feeling so tired.
HM, I can't imagine how stressful moving countries would be. Moving house 10 minutes away is bad enough! You have a lot going on, so it's definitely understandable you would be having a tough time at the moment.
BG, I can't believe your GP said that. Definitely something that should be assessed on a case by case basis, and comments like that to a less informed patient could cause unnecessary stress.
Well, I should have left to go out already but instead I am still sitting here on the computer. Time to put on my baggy jeans and get out of here!

    Hope everyone else is well

21 - what's done is done now - you can't change that hunny - all you can do is learn from it - get your DP to get you some panadol/panadeine/mersyndol (day strength) - all are fine while pg. you will be fine i'm sure. some people have to take low dose aspirin long term in pg to help prevent mc, so while it's not ideal, it's not a huge issue. just remember for next time

    take it easy hun

    Hi All,

21 - I agree with BG - don't stress. Such a low dose should not have done any harm. My OB advises using Panadeine or Panadol. In fact they actual suggest Panadeine is better (as has some codeine) as with the hormone headaches (I had in my first trimester also) the panadol just doesn't seem to help. Try and not stress about it (easier said than done I know), but I am sure that such a low dose would not do any harm. It would be repeated long term use that wouldn't be good.

TL - GL with the results on Monday - good to hear Miss Charlotte is doing so well.

FG - Good luck with OB/scan appointment today. Looking forward to hearing how well it goes.

HM - go easy on yourself. Moving back to Aus is a big decision and will take some time to come to terms with. You are going through massive physical and emotional changes with your pregnancy too, so that may change the way that you would normally react to stressful situations.

Bee - Welcome back! Congratulations on your little boy. I agree - what a wonderful way of honouring your late brother.

Hi BG, Megan, Possums, Nicole, Nixon and all the others that I just know I have left off (sorry)!

AFM - all okay here - I think that I may have dropped a little in the way that I am carrying. Not sure if I am too early on for that, but my profile has definitely changed today - not so much belly high up. Bubs is still dancing up a storm and has been kicking me a lot in the ribs - to the point where sometimes i get a little fright when it just comes out of the blue (cheeky monkey).

21 - totally agree with Janie and BG - such a low dose shouldn't do any harm. Think about all those women out there who don't even realise they are pregnant until 12 or 13 weeks. In my case I was told to take Panadeine by my fs also.

Janie - I'm doing the fornightly photo to monitor the belly positioning. I'm pretty high (I think) I've eaten a fully inflated balloon and the round bit is sticking straight out from my belly button.

Possums, HM, TL, BG, Nicole, Chez, Megan, Bee, FG, Rach and everyone else - Hi and have a great weekend.

PS: Any one around or past the 20 week mark - I'm getting major pain in my lower back and lower ribs. Really strong, dull ache. I do work at a PC all day, but I have good posture and ergonomics (can ya tell I'm a computer geek?) We are supplied with top of the range chairs, so I don't think it's that. Any of you experiencing this - should I mention it to my GP or Ob?

PPS: Can we do one of those pages with everyone who is preggo in this thread and the due date etc? So that we have a list of all those in the thread? My belly buddies thread has one and it's really good becuase I always forget who is in this thread if I haven't heard from them for a while IYKWIM?

If everyone is happy to have the list I am happy to maintain it. If you are not on the list (I'll put it out there over the weekend) PM me with your Due Date, Gender/Surprise, and what number is this for you. I'll put together as much as I can from past threads, but you all know how busy it has been in here lately :-)

Then we can copy the list across to each new thread we get.....

    ie:
    Janie - 30th Mar 2009 - Surprise - #1
    Nixon - 9th May 2009 - Surprise - #1
    Possums - 3rd Sept 2009 - Unknown - #1

Possums & Janie - hope you don't mind me using you in my example.

Sure you can. Happy for you guys to work out how to do it like you do with BellyBuddies threads. They are normally one of the first posts for the thread I think.

    Hello all

Its taken me some time to realise this experience is for real so have hesitated on coming in to this part of BB.

DH & my TTC journey began in Feb 2005. Then after quite a few investigative procedures and 6 ICSI/FET cycles we finally got our FIRST BFP!

Had a scan on Wednesday (14th Jan). Baby was there...heartbeat beautiful and strong (133bpm).

I look forward to being part of your journeys!
