Hi all - sorry no personals at the moment as should be working - but just wanted to let you all know that I got my GCT results and at 6.4 there is no sign of GD.

Chez - I am 37 (so in a higher risk bracket also) and I just had the NT scan and BT done. My risk went from something like 1 in 100 (which was purely my age related risk) down to 1 in 2,800 after the combined scan and BT. So we decided not to risk any further tests. On a personal note, I don't think that I would have had further tests done even if the result had not been good. However, that is such a personal decision. For me and my DH we were prepared to continue with the pregnancy even if our child was DS.

    Hooray!

Do you know what possums - I just remembered I had a very similar thing when I was around the 5 - 6 week mark. Heachache, chills, slight fever, my whole body ACHED. I just remembered now - we had gone to canberra for my Dad's birthday and to tell the family about the pregnancy. It was around 10 days after we had the BFP conifmed.

I couldn't eat properly and ended up leaving Dad's b-day dinner early because I felt so terrible. I took panadols and slept for about 4 days. No runny nose or sore throat or anything else just the symptoms described above.

Weird, but sounds similar to what you are experiencing.....?

make sure the chiro knows that you're pg possums - mine has altered the way he treats me due to the pg - for some adjustments that he used to have me on my tum using downward pressure he now has me on my back using a more upward pressure kwim?

21 - what's done is done now - you can't change that hunny - all you can do is learn from it - get your DP to get you some panadol/panadeine/mersyndol (day strength) - all are fine while pg. you will be fine i'm sure. some people have to take low dose aspirin long term in pg to help prevent mc, so while it's not ideal, it's not a huge issue. just remember for next time

    take it easy hun

    Hi All,

21 - I agree with BG - don't stress. Such a low dose should not have done any harm. My OB advises using Panadeine or Panadol. In fact they actual suggest Panadeine is better (as has some codeine) as with the hormone headaches (I had in my first trimester also) the panadol just doesn't seem to help. Try and not stress about it (easier said than done I know), but I am sure that such a low dose would not do any harm. It would be repeated long term use that wouldn't be good.

TL - GL with the results on Monday - good to hear Miss Charlotte is doing so well.

FG - Good luck with OB/scan appointment today. Looking forward to hearing how well it goes.

HM - go easy on yourself. Moving back to Aus is a big decision and will take some time to come to terms with. You are going through massive physical and emotional changes with your pregnancy too, so that may change the way that you would normally react to stressful situations.

Bee - Welcome back! Congratulations on your little boy. I agree - what a wonderful way of honouring your late brother.

Hi BG, Megan, Possums, Nicole, Nixon and all the others that I just know I have left off (sorry)!

AFM - all okay here - I think that I may have dropped a little in the way that I am carrying. Not sure if I am too early on for that, but my profile has definitely changed today - not so much belly high up. Bubs is still dancing up a storm and has been kicking me a lot in the ribs - to the point where sometimes i get a little fright when it just comes out of the blue (cheeky monkey).

21 - totally agree with Janie and BG - such a low dose shouldn't do any harm. Think about all those women out there who don't even realise they are pregnant until 12 or 13 weeks. In my case I was told to take Panadeine by my fs also.

Janie - I'm doing the fornightly photo to monitor the belly positioning. I'm pretty high (I think) I've eaten a fully inflated balloon and the round bit is sticking straight out from my belly button.

Possums, HM, TL, BG, Nicole, Chez, Megan, Bee, FG, Rach and everyone else - Hi and have a great weekend.

PS: Any one around or past the 20 week mark - I'm getting major pain in my lower back and lower ribs. Really strong, dull ache. I do work at a PC all day, but I have good posture and ergonomics (can ya tell I'm a computer geek?) We are supplied with top of the range chairs, so I don't think it's that. Any of you experiencing this - should I mention it to my GP or Ob?

PPS: Can we do one of those pages with everyone who is preggo in this thread and the due date etc? So that we have a list of all those in the thread? My belly buddies thread has one and it's really good becuase I always forget who is in this thread if I haven't heard from them for a while IYKWIM?

If everyone is happy to have the list I am happy to maintain it. If you are not on the list (I'll put it out there over the weekend) PM me with your Due Date, Gender/Surprise, and what number is this for you. I'll put together as much as I can from past threads, but you all know how busy it has been in here lately :-)

Then we can copy the list across to each new thread we get.....

    ie:
    Janie - 30th Mar 2009 - Surprise - #1
    Nixon - 9th May 2009 - Surprise - #1
    Possums - 3rd Sept 2009 - Unknown - #1

Possums & Janie - hope you don't mind me using you in my example.

Sure you can. Happy for you guys to work out how to do it like you do with BellyBuddies threads. They are normally one of the first posts for the thread I think.

p.s. I have been feeling sick on and off throughout the day now...not throwing up...but definately queasy, and with the queasiness comes the waves of cold shivers still. Did anyone else have these shivers? I am not sick otherwise (ie, no flu )
