Mel- hang in there...glad all your symptoms are happening and hopefully, we will eventually be past the first 12 weeks!

Chez- good luck with the scan...I would definately have kept that appt! Sorry for the big stuff up you had to go through with them...looking around for another OB might be a good idea

21- hope things are OK...you should be able to have an early 8 wk scan...most people here have

Bee- glad you dont feel too sick, and glad Jacob is nice and active!

Nixon, TL, Janie, BG and everyone else thanks so much for your encouragement and well wishes. ...I have good news from today's scan...measured 8 weeks 1 day, which was spot on and the heart rate was strong 169BPM...so all is great so far!! Yay...this is the furthest along we've got and seen a heartbeat...so a milestone! My midwife (former IVF nurse) was so lovely today...she told me to go see my OB next week (he's in another practice) and that if he didnt think it was necessary for me to have another scan until 12 weeks, then to callher and they'd just let me pop in at 10 weeks, unofficially, to have another look! She understands my anxiety and was very good. Go little baby Hope...you keep giving us more and more hope each week.

Fabulous news Possum! Little Hope is going strong which is just wonderful. I would go for the 10 week scan also just to help with any anxiety.

    Hooray!

Wonderful news Possums!! Very happy for you. I also had a quick reassurance ultrasound at 10 weeks, helped fill that big gap between 8 weeks and the 12 week scan.

    Hi All,

Not meant to be on the computer..I am the head supervisor of my mum and sister's house move today. All I am missing is the hard hat! Have been ordering them around for 10 days!!

Have posted in my blog what happened at the OB. Basically I am measuring 22 weeks cause I am blessed with 2 little ones. Normalyy at 22 weeks the babies would be a lot higher, but cause I'm only at 17 weeks, the extra weight is pushing directly on my bladder and bowel. If I'm confusing you here, check out the blog!!

Possums- Am so thrilled for you. I just know little Hope is your forever baby. This little one has been a miracle from the start. Big hugs to you xxx

Got to run sorry (well not run..waddle!)
Thinking of you all and will catch up0 with personals when things here are organised.

    Hugs to you all

    Hi all,
Just got little bit of time to check in and catch up on all the news - wow lots of it too!

Congrats Numa and Scooby on your new little ones!

Bel - glad that you know what is going on and that all is well - it is just your two growing lots!

Possums that you saw your little ones heart beat, and congrats on making it past this milestone - now onewards to a beautiful pg and baby!

21 - push for the progesterone if you have any doubts. I had to fill a script yesterday for some and was told that I might have to find a compounding pharmacy if I need more as the supplier (only one in Aust!) did not meet quality control on the last batch and they had to be ditched (not sure how much of that is true though) - so maybe progeterone injections could be an option. No

I know that I've missed lots of others - sorry - but hope that eveyone and their bubs is doing well.

AFM - not much to report. Had bt for downs this morning and next scan in on the 9th Feb. Just want to get to that point so we can start telling people! One person has already guessed as I had a 'baby bump' - was happy for 10mins till I realised that I prob should not have one yet - as much as I try not to worry, I just know that my weight is going to be an issue for me mentally over the next few months - i hate the feeling of stuff not fitting, plus have the guilts as stress and work mean I'm eating crap and not exercising - and then I just feel myself going into this spiral of guilt...none of which helps anything!

Anyway - hope everyone enjoys the long weekend.

if you're needing the progesterone pessaries FG - there is a pharmacy in clayton (priceline i think) that does them there - they work out to less then $3 each, and if you fax script (then post it) they have it filled same day (cc) payment and send them express post...

FG - I used a Compounding pharmacy in Melbourne (they were cheaper than going through the hospitals pharmacy) and I just did the same as BG - faxed my script to them and then told them how many I wanted. They would express post to me and I would receive the next day. If I needed more I would just call and they would again send the next day.
