Bei bei Hang in there hun. Like BW said take 1 hour or 1 day at a time. I do hope this next week goes so fast for you and that all will be well with your little bub at your next scan. Like Monnie said too a heart beat is still a heart beat. I would try not to worry too much although I do understand how hard this is. Try and stay positive and keep talking to your baby and tell them how much you love them and want them.Know that I'm thinking of you too. Take care.

BW and Panda I hope the spotting stops soon for you both.

Monnie How did your appointment go hun? I hope the groin pain gets better and that the support band thing helps too.

Well my Nan came home today. All went pretty well with the op yesterday although she's very sore which is to be expected. I couldn't get to the hospital to see her last night as I felt I would break down as soon as I saw her. So I thought it would be best not to go.
Nothing else to report here atm except I can't believe that I'm 22 weeks tomorrow. The time seems to have gone so fast and then at times so slow. My baby is very active and I can feel him most of the time. I have to say that I love that feeling. I wish dh could feel the movements too though. Does anyone know roughly when dh should be able to start feeling them?

Hi to Sammi, Keen,Sazz and anyone else I've missed. I hope you are all ok.

    Thanks guys for your comfort...

BW I think your theory sounds great, it starts to work already...

I have also found a thread online talking about this topic and knowing there are so many women are experiencing the same thing make me feel that I am not alone...I guess I will just be positive and leave the rest to destiny...whatever happens will happen...

Mako, I am so glad that your nan's surgery went well, hope she will have a speedy recovery!

So glad to hear about your Nan, Mako...good news!

Beibei...so glad you have found a thread that is helping...it makes such a difference to know that you are not alone, hey?

My appointment went well...poor Ob. was running 2 hours behind due to 3 deliveries today...

This Ob. is just a stand-in one for me whilst my Ob. is on holidays...I see him again on the 20th...

Anyway...baby is growing very well...looking healthy and big! Placenta is looking good as is amniotic fluid. This Ob. spoke briefly to me about delivery options and basically was saying that it's not something that I want to play around with, given the possible effects of a scarred uterus...he was pretty much saying that a c-section is the way to go...

So...it looks like my baby could be here in 3 weeks, given that they generally do c-sections at 38-39 weeks!!! Can't quite believe that! WOWOW!!!

Anyway...hope everyone is going okay...take care!

WOW Monnie 3 weeks and little ziggy could be in your arms safe and sound. Thats sooo exciting hun.

Bei Bei I'm so happy that you've found a thread to help you during this difficult time and atleast you now know that you aren't the omly one in your situation. Take care hun.

Well I went and picked up our bubs car seat today and yesterday afternoon dh and I went and picked out a cot. Its all starting to come together now. I've chosen the pram, laybyed the linen and the porta cot as we are going away for christmas. I don't think there is really all that much more that we'll need to get as far as the "big" stuff is concerned. I'll have to start and write a list of what else we need as my baby shower is at the end of August. This seems to be a little too soon for my liking but its the only time that all my and dh's family will be around at the same time as our parents are going away several times before bub is due. If it was up to me I think I would have liked it in late September but anyway August it is.

I hope you are all ok.

That's great Mako...well done on your purchases!

We still haven't got a cot...still haven't fitted the baby seat in the car...bought a change mat today...but still feeling slightly out-of-control at the moment...

Hopefully ziggy will be happy in a bassinet initially...otherwise we are in big trouble!!!

Still waiting on renovations to start too! They were supposed to be finished in the next month...but have yet to start!!! HELP!!!! Looks like we will be spending longer at my parent's than I imagined (or hoped)...they're great...but just never imagined, after waiting so long for Ziggy, that I would then be in someone else's home...

Oh well...what can you do!!! Maybe it will help me to be a flexible parent or something!

Trying to get my work finished (18 reports which are driving me crazy)...

Anyway...I'm complaining too much in today...

Really...all I wanted to say...is well done on the shopping spree!!!

Like the rest of the girls, I too take each and every day as a miracle, the fact that your bubs is still in your belly is something special, he/she is showing you their presence through making you feel sick. Try to relax and enjoy the experience of being pregnant.

Mako, I am so happy about your nan, hope her healing will be smoothly. Ohh and how exciting you picked up all your stuff. that is great stuff.

monnie, I am happy your scan went well, but also happier that you will have your bubs in your ups sooner than you had expected. gees 3 weeks will fly.

My spotting stopped, but boy do i look like I am 4 months preggers or what. People have commented that I have a little bump. I am only 8 weeks 2 days. I know I am bloated, my belly is pretty small in the mornings.... it must be all the carbs or something.
I have also had some light cramps here and there, I guess its just everything moving around and things stretching

Because of all the worrying and anxiety, I didn't even realize that I am 8 weeks today! YAY for that! (here is my positive vibes girls)

Monnie, 3 weeks to go...OMG! its great that you have decided on the delivery options and you know what you are expecting...C-session sounds great to me (i am so scared of natural birth personally), at least you can be more organized and save the drama of delivering the baby in the car...on the floor etc...isn't it?

Mako, how exciting of doing your shopping spree, I can't wait when I am at that stage...you must be feeling everything is coming together now...very organized girl...

Panda, I am glad your spotting has stopped...I know what you mean about the belly, mine was definately bigger in the evening (before going to bed) than when I got up in the morning...partly because of the bloating I guess and I am trying not to eat too much in the evening...

    Hi all!
Mako, how wonderful to hear all your news. Your Nan coming home is great. Picking out you baby things is so exciting and a baby shower soon too.... it is all happening in your world!!!
Monnie, hang in there with the reports. Hope they finish themselves soon! And yay on getting a firm idea of the birth. I know you werent really happy at first with the suggestion but it sounds like you have come to think about the end result which is the most important. I am sure there are heaps of women who are dissapointed with having a C but at least we have these options these days and they are sooo much safer than they were in years gone by! 3 weeks left! Wow you must be so excited. I cant believe you are renovating at the same time!!!! You are a beggar for punishment hehehe. good luck with it all!
Panda, glad your spotting has stopped. A big relief for you I reckon. I know what you mean about your belly. Mine is huge. I saw a 17wk preg woman yesterday and I am way ahead of her in size at 14wks. Made me feel like a whale!! hehe. Every one is different I guess.
Beibei, I am glad you are taking the approach you have. As I had a catch up read of everyone I was nodding my head when I read BW words. Exactly what I was going to say. And Congratulations on making 8 weeks!!!!! yay!
Hi Keen, BW, Sammi, and everyone else. Nothing much to report from me. I think I have turned the corner with the fatigue thing. I am just tired from working evenings and having a bit of a cold. Other than that feeling great!

BW - I've got an appointment with Leah tomorrow, finally. I haven't been since April. I hope you're feeling better.

BeiBei - congratulations on 8 weeks!!! yay!!! Another milestone! I'm glad you're feeling more positive about things - we're all thinking of you and here for you. Take care of yourself. I hope your m/s is still there - I think it's got to be a good sign. My Ob always seemed very pleased that I was feeling sick in the earlier weeks.

Mako - Congrats on 22 weeks - how exciting!! I'm almost 20 weeks and very excited about that. My DH can already feel our little bean sometimes. I can feel him/her quite a bit and every now and then DH feels it from the outside too. I'm sure your DH will feel him soon!! So glad to hear your Nan is ok and the op went well, that's great news. Very jealous of your shopping spree - it sounds like you're very organised! We really need to start... we have to move house next week so once we're in and settled we'll be going shopping!! Woo hoo!!

Monnie - how exciting that you might be holding your little baby in your arms in 3 weeks!!! It must be quite a surreal thought... I'm very excited for you and look forward to seeing photos of your little one. You sound like you've got a bit to do - shopping and work - good luck with it all. And what a bummer about the reno's not being done yet. As you say though - what can you do!!! It will all work out in the end.

Ltl Panda - hello! That's great news that your spotting has stopped. And I can't believe you're already getting comments on your belly - you might find that it goes back down for a bit before popping back out, that's what mine did. When I tell people I'm pregnant they say oh, really, you don't look it! I'm just starting to pop this week though, well I feel that I am anyway! It is so exciting being pregnant isn't it?!

Sazzafrazz - glad to hear you're feeling so good. Lucky you!!

    Keen, hi!

Well I'm really tired today, I had a really bad nights sleep, well I couldn't get to sleep. I had a ripper headache yesterday afternoon and then felt sick in the tummy as well... I've never had headaches like the ones I've had since being pregnant, they're terrible. I'm not sure if it's from my computer at work. Did you know that being pregnant affects your eyesight?? I read it in what to expect when you're expecting - something to do with the extra fluid in your body??? Anyway, I'm still waiting for that 2nd trimester energy boost - I still feel tired most of the time and headaches are a common problem... BUT, regardless of all that - I am SO happy to be pregnant - and to be hitting the 1/2 way mark on Monday!!!! I'm feeling my little one so much now, most evenings when I lay down and in the mornings in bed - it's so incredible, I love it!! What an amazing journey....

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Yay for the appointment, Sammi! Leah seemed so much more back to her normal self last night, I'm going to miss her while she's away. I think when she's back I'll be just starting to go less often - while I won't miss the travel, I will miss the sessions! Leah worked her magic on me, and I'm feeling so much better now, even slept better last night! Much less bloated, morning sickness subsided a little... the only thing that's worse is the congestion! Ever since I got pregnant my nose has been so stuffy and I've had a constant post-nasal drip... really goes well with the ms! Does anyone know if there's anything I can take/do?

Monnie - 3 weeks seems so soon! Eep!

I'm spending the day with a friend who's an OB today, so I'm sure I'll have all the answers by this afternoon! Although, I'm pretty sure she won't want to talk shop all day!

    Hey guys,

Sammi...Wow...1/2 way on Monday...how fantastic is that!!! So thrilled for you...I think I had a lot of headaches around that time too...thankfully they subsided after a little bit...and my energy boost probably hit around 23 weeks or so...good luck on the move!!!

How wonderful that you can feel the baby moving...

I was getting so excited last night about our baby coming along so soon...and it was like the baby was equally excited...kicking and squirming away...it's such a special time, lying in bed and just feeling your baby move...I love it!

Sazz...hope you cold clears up really soon...yay for not feeling so tired...

Ltl Panda...yay for the bump! How exciting! And yeah...I think there is alot of stretching happening at around that time...everything getting ready for your baby to flourish!!!

BeiBei...so glad to hear you are doing a bit better...good on you...I realise it must be so hard, but you're a great inspiration in your approach! You go girl!!! I love what Ellie said in another post to you...95 still sounds like an A+...what a great way to put it!

Mako...how you doing, chickie? You inspired me and I went to Toys R Us yesterday and bought some nappies, wondersuits and a change table mat...we probably can't get anything else at the moment (as we don't have the room)...but I'm certainly feeling a little more organised...thanks for the inspiration!

Keen...hope you are doing fantastically, chickie?

BW...have a great day with your friend...glad to hear that you are feeling better too..you are sounding great! Sorry about the nasal drip though!!! I think I had the same thing...especially in the morning...hopefully it will move on quickly!

    Anyway...so hoping I haven't missed anyone...

    Take care all...

Oh...some exciting news...my Mum rang and told me my cousin (who is probably now in her 40's and was unable to have kids...and had huge hassles with adopting), has just been approved to adopt a little Phillipino boy...he's 3...they are going to the Phillipines in October to adopt him...HOW WONDERFUL!!!! They have been through so much...and this is just the absolute best news ever!!!

Don't you love it when people who have had to go through so much, finally get the fairytale ending...I LOVE IT!!!

Monnie Thats fantastic news about your cousin. Its such a tough journey going down the adoption path. Friends of ours wanted to adopt as she is unable to have children and they went through the whole process only to be told that her dp is too old. He was only 42 at the time. It was so frustrating for them as they would make great parents and they have so much love they could share with a child. They are really well off aswell but that makes no difference unfortunatley.
Good on you for buying some baby things yesterday. I also bought some nappies this week too.

BW Its great that you are feeling a bit better today. I hope you have a great day out with your friend.

Sammi Well done for being half way hun. Its great feeling bub move around isn't it? I love it and really can't wait for dh to be able to feel him too. Maybe it will happen when dh comes home from his holiday in 2 weeks?

Sazz Sorry that you are feeling a bit yuk atm. I hope your cold clears up real soon.

Bei Bei I too liked what Ellie said in your other thread about the A+. I think thats a great way to look at it all. And congrats on getting to 8 weeks. Thats a milestone in itself.

Keen How are you and those sweet twins doing hun? I hope all is well with you all.

Ltlpanda The cramps and everything you may be feeling atm is completly normal hun. I remember freaking out alot when this was happening to me too but all is ok.

As for me I'm doing really well. I am getting ALOT of headaches lately but honestly when I think about it I've had many more since becoming pregnant. I did ask about these at an ob appoint a while ago and she said its from the hormones going wild. I'm getting a little nervous about dh going o/s on Tuesday however I'm sure he'll be ok. Its just that where he's going is classed as Indonesian Waters and thats whats concerning me even though its actually 1/2 way between Fiji and Hawwaii so not really Indonesia at all. Anyway I'm sure he'll have a great time. I also have an Ob appointment on Wednesday(dh's birthday too) and I won't be able to talk to him about it until he gets back. I just hope all will be ok.

I hope you all have a great Friday. And I hope I haven't missed anyone.

    Hey Mako,

My cousins would be in their early 40's, I'm sure...they were rejected first time around...and nearly gave up...in fact, I think they have done alot of advocacy work in assisting others to adopt...as the process was so difficult for them...

They also were weeks off having an Australian adoption fully verified a few years ago, and then the little boy's family changed their mind. It was so sad as from what I understood, the little boy had been living with them for 18 months or so...

Anyway...it's fantastic news! I'm SO thrilled for them...like your friends, they are an amazing couple with so much love to give...

Sorry to hear about the headaches...like Sammi, I had stacks of them too...from about 16-23 weeks, I think...haven't had hardly any since...so hopefully they move on for you too...

Hope your DH has a good trip away...sorry to hear that he won't be around for your birthday or Ob. appointment...I'm sure everything will be okay...and they he will be safe and sound...and home sooner than you know it!

Monnie, that is fantastic news for your cousin, great stuff, well deserve a family.

Mako, I am glad you are feeling good, bugger about the headaches.

Sammi Jane, 1/2 way is the best, that is amazing....good on you girl, you sound very happy.

Ohh BW I so know what you mean about congestion..... Ive had it since the transfer.

well feeling really tired, so so tired.

I've just had the best day! We ended up shopping for 6 hours and I'm exhausted now, though!

The exciting things - my friend is still absolutely determined, thrilled and excited to be on my birth support team! I'd asked her about 10 years ago when DH and I first got engaged and she'd really only just got started in studying medicine, and we talked about it again when the PCOS diagnosis came through and I picked her brain with all sorts of questions... and now that we are finally here I was terrified to ask if she still wanted to be there for me. She was my maid of honour when we got married, and it's just so special to know she'll be there at the birth as well. In fact, I cried in Big W when we talked about it all today!

Second exciting thing - I've bought my first maternity clothes! I started out looking for some loose non-maternity tops that would go a fair way through pregnancy, and found some gorgeous ones. Then we managed to stray into the maternity section of target... and I picked up a pair of black maternity jeans for less than $12! A couple more tops (one is a proper maternity top, the other isn't), and I'm certainly off to a good start along with the baggy jeans and jumpers and things that I already have.

too tired for personals... maybe later... have read all the updates, though.

    Fantastic stuff BW!!!

So happy for you regarding your friend...what a wonderful support!

I've got through most of my pregnancy with non-maternity clothes...just using a belly belt, belly tube and lots of empire lined tops!!! I was surprised how well they have worked out...as my belly is certainly not on the small side now!!!

I did buy some maternity pants from Target though...they are fantastic...were on special too!

    Hi all,
I have been awol due to work & life in general just being so full on atm, it's crazy.
I have tried to catch up on everyone's news.

Sam - I'm so glad your scan went well, did you find out the sex of your bub?

Mako - hope your nan is recovering well, I too am extremely close to my nan & it's horrible when they are ill.

BeiBei - sorry I don't have any answers about the size for you but I have everything crossed that your bub will be ok which I'm sure he/she will be.
Like the other girls said being so early I don't think it has a huge bearing on things in the long run.

Panda - don't worry I was 'showing' at your early stage & I did think I was just bloated but when I went for my first scan at 7.5wks there was so much space around the bub that it was really just getting ready to make room.

Monnie - 3wks to go, how exciting!!!

Sorry for everyone else who is feeling horrible, it really does suck sometimes even though pg is something we have all wanted for such a looooooong time.
It's just a shame you have all the yucky stuff to go with it, & can someone please tell me - when will I start to glow!!!

So like I said things have been crazy but something exciting did happen I think.
Tuesday night in bed I felt this strange feeling but thought it might be wind, as I do get a lot of that lol.
Then Thursday night I felt it again twice & I think it was our little girl kicking, it felt a little stronger & both nights it was when I was lying on a certain side.
    It was extremely exciting.

Ohhhhh DJTTC....that is exciting! I bet it is kicks!

One of the ways I can more likely 'guarantee' a kick, is if I lie on my side...

    How wonderful for you!
