Kahlan, Give yourself credit hun. From your signature i can see you have been through so so much. You are incredible to have come this far.
I think it is ok to be a little apprehensive and cautious along with the positivity. After a miscarriage, it feels like you are really defying all the odds. You understand how fragile the first few weeks are and that can be a little scarey. I am trying my best to concentrate on making it through...even though you can't help wanting to protect yourself. Self preservation.

    Good luck hun

    Wow new thread! Thanks Dusty.

Thanks for your kind words Hippy Mum. Your journey seems hellish as well but here we are... very happy mums to be.

    Yeah, Thanks Dusty!

    Kahlan,
Hey Hun, Hmmm, yeah hellish would cover it, a lot of hard work and belief that i am sure will be worth it.
I am due....Oooo that gave me butterflies thinking about it,...Mid July 08.
OMG aren't we clever! It is just incredible. I was a July Bub too...so there is a possibliity of having another Leo (me) or Cancer (my mum- god help me, jokes -i think) in the household. What a wonderful thought.
    What about you?
Yep...very very happy mums to be we are!

Welcome, Hippy Mum and Kahlan. So nice to have you join us.

Shannon, I can't believe how close things are now!

I can remember NONE of what was in the other thread.

I'm having a bit of a freak out this morning. One of the things I realised I was drifting off to sleep last night was that it has well and truly been more than 6 months since our embryos were frozen, and we haven't had a bill from the clinic yet. I know we still had some money in credit with the clinic (the blastocyst culture that we never used) that we left with them to cover storage fees - but it wasn't enough to cover the full amount for the second 6 months.

I have to call them today to find out what's happening. After all this time, I'm terrified of calling my clinic! I think part of it is the nightmare about calling them and being told that they destroyed our embryos because we didn't pay the bill... the bill we never got!

BW does your clinic include the first years storage free as part of your cycle costs?

Nope. The freezing fees cover the cost of having the embryos frozen and storing them for the first 6 months... I'm sitting here at work freaking out because there are people in the staff room that I don't want around when I make the phone call, it will be another 40 minutes before they go to class, and I'm just too stressed to do any other work at this point in time!

    Morning All,

Kahlan and Hippy Mum- Welcome!! Isn't it great to finally join this thread..so exciting.

BW- I'm sure your little frosties are waiting patiently for you for your next baby.

Shannon- You are doing amazingly well. I LOVED your pics. Good to get some idea of how my tummy is going to get with the 2 blessings on board. You look fabulous though. Here's a silly quick question for you...are you going to put the babies in bassinets, separate cots or the same cot when they are newborns?? My mind is going 1000 miles an hour thinking of all the things I'm sure you thought of when you were told you were blessed with twins. I'm so thrilled though. Am I right that you are booked it for 37 weeks? Take good care of yourself xx

Hi to everyone else..hope everyone has a great day.

AFM- Got my BT results late yesterday. HCG was 9307 and progesterone 845. Am happy with that! No wonder my "not so little anymore" BB's are sore!!

    Hugs to all

Hi Bel - 37 1/2 we are booked in for in 10 sleeps!!! We decided to put them straight in a cot and the plan is to sleep them together at night and seperately during the day but it all depends how things pan out, each book tells to something different however i found when i joined my local multiple births group most sleep them together.

Well DH and I bought a new car yesterday, our current car is only 12 months old (just!) and about oh 20 weeks ago DH was in charge of measuring backseat to make sure with two car seats/capsules he would still fit (we have a mazda 3) and after much nagging and nagging he assured me definately fine no need to borrrow one and test it, he and his handy tape measure were positive all was good. So fast forward to last Friday i go and get the capsules fitted thinking yay this is the last thing now we are 100% ready... and stupid DH doesn't fit! So we we madly spend the next day shopping for a new car not fun when you are huge, sore and swollen and luckily we finalised everything yesterday and car will be ready early next week! And DH JUST survives to love another day.. needless to say i got to pick the colour!

    Huge relief here!

My two little embryos are fine! I got the impression that they wouldn't destroy them, but just wouldn't let us access them until storage fees were paid.

The clinic has no idea why a statement wasn't generated and posted - it should have happened automatically (now I wonder if we have other mail going missing...) but we just never got one.

Even better news... the next 6 months of storage is $125 and we had $175 in credit with them, so this next 6 months won't cost us a cent, and there's still some money left over for the third 6 month period.

At least now I can stop stressing and get some work done... good thing as I've just wasted the vast majority of my release time!

I'll come back after work (maybe - have AP and bible study this evening) and be less self-absorbed.

Phew BW. Glad to hear the embryo's are waiting for you and their little stay at the clinic won't cost you anything for the next 6 months. Have a good day xxx

Well, it's not costing us any more than what we've already given to the clinic anyway!

How's the OHSS recovery going, Bel?

Welcome Kahlan and HM - HM i definitely remember you (and even though i don't post much, have still been following your journey!). Kahlan, there's nothing "strong" about me continuing on after so much heartache - i'm a stubborn red head that just couldnt' give in! i wanted to save myself the pain so many times, but i just couldn't quit... dont' know if that's a good thing in most parts of life, but it's gotten us to this point, so i can't hate it!

Shannon - soooooooo close now hun!

sorry for no more personals - feeling very foggy at the moment - have to eat my brekkie and put some cup bets on for DH before i take myself back to bed....

Recovery going ok. Still about 1.5 kgs up but swollen tummy though. Just have constant discomfort. FS said yesterday ovaries are still very swollen, so don't know when it will completely go. Really don't feel myself again yet. Thanks for asking BW xxx

Bel, my ovaries were still quite swollen at 13 weeks - and more than likely longer than that too, that's just the last time they were checked at a scan. Don't expect them to go down in any hurry at all.

I'm being tickled by my little monster... he had such an active night last night I hoped he'd be resting today - no such luck!
