Thanks so much Scooby, it's great knowing people here really do understand! I do have rescue remedy, but it's at home..! My DH keeps telling me to be calm and positive, but as you say, it's so hard getting past the fear

hi all - just got back from the scan (and a touch of shopping - and sharing with family!) - scan this morning was fantastic. was feeling very anxious - to the point of nausea being almost more than i could take! But, everything looking great. we're measuring a couple of days smaller than expected, but the clinic don't care at all - and we have a heartbeat! woo hoo!! i see the FS again in 10 days, but they don't seem to be stressing at all - HCG numbers are climbing as they should be, the Gremlin has a heartbeat - so everything is kicking along nicely

the guy doing the scan was a little concerned about the size of the ovary that i ovulated from - the left has a volume of 8.4ml, the right is 342ml - no wonder i've been getting niggles! i'm not too phased though - we knew it was enlarged before i triggered, so this is just something i need to be aware of

so, as it stands, it looks to be that we're due somewhere between May 28 and May 31 - i can deal with that window of time!

    Hi ladies,
BG that is wonderful news for you. I am so happy for you.

I am feeling kind of naughty posting here as I am still TTC, but have been looking longingly at your posts, I know most of your stories and my heart cries with happiness for you all. You so deserve it. Anyway I just wanted to say how lovely I think it is that you still have each other here, in this next step, and while all us TTCers are just focussed on that BFP, I can see that both the worry and the good news doesn't end with a BFP. And so it shouldn't. I am waiting with baited breath until it is my turn too and I can join you here.

    Wishing you all the best.

BG that is excellent that all went well on your scan. Congratulations!
The measurements are all just estimates, so you always expect a small variance.
With my DD my U/S showed she was 4 days younger then what I expected based on my LMS. The obst just made that my new EDD and we went by that after the 6 week U/S.

Well what a start to a weekend! I am happy things went well.

Possums, I hope you U/S is just as perfect!

i'm kinda liking the idea of using the second date as EDD as it will actually put me due early June - which means i have longer before any potential intervention! i figured with AC you can be relatively sure of dates though, so will let the FS put the final label on EDD... may as well let him have SOME part of it seeing it was IUI and the only thing he did was sign the form with the dosage of drugs i said i wanted, and the nurse did the rest!

BG- great news!!! Very pleased for you...I was so nervous too, I felt sick

afm- we have good news too! there was a heartbeat...our little one was pulsing away...a little flickering blob on the screen. The heart rate was 108BPM and I dont know how that compares to where it should be (the guy doing the scan didnt say much on that point and said I should ask my Dr questions)....
and we also measured a bit smaller than we thought...we were 6 weeks 5 days, but our little possum was measuring about 6 weeks 1 day. I was a bit worried, but reading on here it sounds like thats OK?? I thought with IVF it would be pretty much spot on, but I guess there can be lots of variances.

So we are really pleased. Phew. I will see my OB on tuesday...hopefully we can have another scan in another couple of weeks before the 12 week one.

    Possums that is fantastic news!!!

our nurse said that a mild difference in size is ok - they are just an estimate based on averages, so maybe we both have small bubbas!! and our baby had heartbeat of 99 which they said was fine as well! would be great if the sonographers were a little more forthcoming with information wouldn't it??

BG- thanks for sharing that info...and yes it sure would be great if they were a bit more informative...especially when there is a looong weekend between now and my Ob appt on tuesday arvo!
I am so glad you are all here to share the news with, gain support from and bounce these questions off! thanks everyone.

I am still just so relieved. It was a long nervewracking day!

my next FS appointment isn't for 10 days - and the nurse has been out of contact due to her MIL being in hospital - so it was a massive relief when she rang back before we even got out of the car park today!
