Lilmiss, can't wait to hear your news and trusting all is good xx
Paula - hope you've picked up all your baby stuff and have had heaps of fun putting everything together.
Wantbaby - I've also become addicted to orange juice, I seem to be going through litres of the stuff!
Seph - glad you were able to cach up with your friend. Such the cliche thing to say but I do believe the experience of LTTTC will definitely make me a better parent and although I wouldn't wish it on anyone I guess it's helped shape me so I try not to have any regrets.
Ky - hope you're going okay. In a very short time we'll be waiting to hear YOUR ba, so exciting!!
DH and I went to a wedding yesterday and I swear most of the girls in our 'group' announced pregnancies!! So of course it was baby talk all night but I actually found it hard as DH doesn't want his friends to know about our IVF journey so I can't tell the whole truth about things... I understand he's a bit sensitive about it all but I would certainly never talk about why we did IVF without his consent, just in very general terms. Anyway I can't force him to talk about it so just have to keep quiet.
Congrats Lil Miss!!! Cant find the birth announcement for the details but im sure you will post when you can.xxx
Smithy~ Your daughter sounds like she is a great mum and you are a great mum, giving her the support she needs. My mum was fabulous when i announced my pregnancy at 18.It really helps having support. My son Connor is already a great big brother. He pokes at my belly, talks to her and has already threatened to steal her and get a place of his own if my husband doesnt stop swearing so much.My son doesnt like swearing..god love him.DH swears all the time....drives me insane! LOL
Lise,Londonmiss, persephone and anyone else i forgot...hoping all is well and that your all having fun shopping for your bubs and watching your baby move about in your tummies.I love it!!
As for me,im feeling really annoyed with DH.I even told him amongst a huge flood of tears yesterday, that i was going to leave.Im not,but because we arent being intimate,i feel really distanced from him and by him.he describes me to people over the phone as "getting fat" which im not.My belly looks like a basketball and im still very thin all over but i worry he finds me unattractive but at the same time,im loving my body for the first time in years! ?
After my sons birth my tummy was a mass of stetchmarks from above my navel and from hip to hip.I also had lots of loose skin which actually took 12 years to tighten to a reasonable appearance. Before the IVF i was actually getting ready to book an appointment for a mini tummy tuck to get rid of the skin. Now that my tummy is stretched, the skin is nice and not creased and i have my top pulled up all the time as im so happy that i look "normal' but now i think he thinks im ugly because i weigh 51 kgs which he has never seen me at. It doesnt help when he makes comments about lack of sex,me getting 'fat' etc.He was telling me tonight, that he thinks i look nice and that he is very happy with me and excited about bub but i just feel like he is lying.I dont know if its hormones/paranoia or what.I dont know.Maybe im being silly.
Anyway i will stop whingeing now.Just had to express my feelings.
Just been and read the weight of LilMiss's baby - if you'll pardon the phrase - **** the bed, no wonder she's been waddling!!! my goodness, that's HUGE!!!!! Can't wait to hear the story once she's back (although at that weight, I hope she gets a bonus week in hospital for recovery!!)
Wantbaby - poor you. I think we're destined to get hormonal and irrational when pregnant, I know I have been super-irritable, and almost looking for fights and seeking offence where none was intended. I hope it passes for you soon, and that you and DH can chat about it. The fat word is banned in our house too, big is the nearest he is permitted to it. xx
