Lilmiss~ I really feel for you.Its very frustrating when you get to that point. When i had Connor 13 yrs ago,i still remember the absolute frustration towards the end.Connor was 13 days overdue and wasnt even engaged.I was crying all the time and in a lot of discomfort,so i know how you are feeling.Regarding being uncomfortable at night..im that way too and im only 24 weeks and have been suffering with extremely painful legs and hips for over 2 months now.Like you,im awake walking around, through the night trying to ease discomfort. Please just take comfort in knowing that your little man WILL come out in no time.Drs dont let bubs go overdue for long these days.Just plead your frustration with your ob/gyn. I am sending labour vibes your way.xx
P.s....TYPICAL MALE!! hehehe.Stubborn as mules!Bring on the castor oil!!

Hey Lilmiss. Gosh I feel for you - when you are ready to go... I think you just want to get off one of my lists and onto the other! maybe that will get me to sort out the colours.... eviction notices from me to your little one. Hope he/ she turns up soon. Take it you've tried all the old wives tales? I have just eaten the most ENORMOUS curry with the girls at work. I think I may well have to have a kip under my desk...

I think I also win this weeks Pregnancy Isn't Sexy Award. Had pelvic pain all week and mentioned it to my midwife yesterday, she said try a wheat pack or something. DH came in from a really stressful day at work to find me in a Granny nightie, watching Biggest Loser, nightie up round waist, belly hanging out front back and sides with a heat pack on what might politely be referred to as my pubic bone... and I wonder why he didn't leap on me and ravish me...

lilmiss - I can only imagine how time drags when you're so close and feeling so uncomfortable. We're all sending labour vibes your way xx

londonmiss - that did make me chuckle! I've been trying to get DH to DTD but he seems strangely reluctant. Could it be proportionally related to how attractive I must look and sound at the moment?! I seem to have turned into a tennis player with the amount of grunting I do every time I have to get off the couch, bend over, roll over...

    Hi Ladies,

Thank you for your kind words. I'm doing okay though! I managed to compose myself before calling my friend and congratulating her - genuinely, and we caught up for lunch a few days later. Feeling sad and frustrated about how long it took us to fall pregnant doesn't change the fact that I am very happy for her and her DH - and she was very understanding as to why it might be hard news for me to hear too. LTTTC seems to stay with us for such a long time, I figure it's now a part of me and there's not much I can do about that, other than acknowledge it and sit with it for awhile.

LilMiss, sorry to hear you're still waiting! My Doula told me that pre-labour can last for several weeks...but it's all good practice for the main event yeah? Thinking of you, sending you lots of labourvibes.

to everyone! Aristotle is going mad in the belly and I can't get comfy, so am going for a walk.

Smithy~ I was just looking at your pics of baby Charlie and your grandson,Chayse. What a pair of sweethearts! My nan and aunty had their babies with a 12 month age difference and grew up best of friends instead of Uncle and Niece so im sure Charlie and Chayse will do the same. How lovely for you and your daughter to share such a wonderful experience.Im sure she is watching you and learning to be a great mum.I still cant believe though that your a grandmother!! You look too young. Your daughter looks very young.I had Connor 8 weeks before my 19th birthday and people think he is my brother LOL.He is 13 on Monday!! How time flies!! Anyhow congrats to your daughter.x

Persephone~ Im glad your feeling better and that you and your friend have had some time together.

Everyone else...hoping you all are well.I forgot to mention my cravings..
silly me (considering i brought it up..derrr)
I went off red meat, takeaway and chocolate for the first trimester and only wanted bland foods such as salad and vegies and plain biscuits. My cravings however have started since 12 weeks and are, tomato sauce sandwiches, chicken fillet burgers from kfc, orange juice and icecream. Before i was pregnant i didnt like icecream but so far have eaten about 6-8 litres of it.
I dont always eat what i crave though.I have only succumbed to 3 chicken burgers but live on orange juice and healthy stuff...minus the 2 lindt bunnies i ate at easter
Craved a mcchicken today and i usually HATE them.I didnt get one though..I was good.I came home and had steamed vegies and mash.

Lilmiss, can't wait to hear your news and trusting all is good xx

Paula - hope you've picked up all your baby stuff and have had heaps of fun putting everything together.

Wantbaby - I've also become addicted to orange juice, I seem to be going through litres of the stuff!

Seph - glad you were able to cach up with your friend. Such the cliche thing to say but I do believe the experience of LTTTC will definitely make me a better parent and although I wouldn't wish it on anyone I guess it's helped shape me so I try not to have any regrets.

Ky - hope you're going okay. In a very short time we'll be waiting to hear YOUR ba, so exciting!!

DH and I went to a wedding yesterday and I swear most of the girls in our 'group' announced pregnancies!! So of course it was baby talk all night but I actually found it hard as DH doesn't want his friends to know about our IVF journey so I can't tell the whole truth about things... I understand he's a bit sensitive about it all but I would certainly never talk about why we did IVF without his consent, just in very general terms. Anyway I can't force him to talk about it so just have to keep quiet.

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend xx

Congrats Lil Miss!!! Cant find the birth announcement for the details but im sure you will post when you can.xxx

Smithy~ Your daughter sounds like she is a great mum and you are a great mum, giving her the support she needs. My mum was fabulous when i announced my pregnancy at 18.It really helps having support. My son Connor is already a great big brother. He pokes at my belly, talks to her and has already threatened to steal her and get a place of his own if my husband doesnt stop swearing so much.My son doesnt like swearing..god love him.DH swears all the time....drives me insane! LOL

Lise,Londonmiss, persephone and anyone else i forgot...hoping all is well and that your all having fun shopping for your bubs and watching your baby move about in your tummies.I love it!!

As for me,im feeling really annoyed with DH.I even told him amongst a huge flood of tears yesterday, that i was going to leave.Im not,but because we arent being intimate,i feel really distanced from him and by him.he describes me to people over the phone as "getting fat" which im not.My belly looks like a basketball and im still very thin all over but i worry he finds me unattractive but at the same time,im loving my body for the first time in years! ?
After my sons birth my tummy was a mass of stetchmarks from above my navel and from hip to hip.I also had lots of loose skin which actually took 12 years to tighten to a reasonable appearance. Before the IVF i was actually getting ready to book an appointment for a mini tummy tuck to get rid of the skin. Now that my tummy is stretched, the skin is nice and not creased and i have my top pulled up all the time as im so happy that i look "normal' but now i think he thinks im ugly because i weigh 51 kgs which he has never seen me at. It doesnt help when he makes comments about lack of sex,me getting 'fat' etc.He was telling me tonight, that he thinks i look nice and that he is very happy with me and excited about bub but i just feel like he is lying.I dont know if its hormones/paranoia or what.I dont know.Maybe im being silly.
Anyway i will stop whingeing now.Just had to express my feelings.
