London Miss~I get a little nervous before each scan too.My hands shake and get sweaty and i cant sit still in the waiting room.Everything will be fine. Try not to stress.Your so far along now and im sure your feeling movements every day so try and relax. Its just a part of being a mum to be and having tried for so long its normal to be anxious.
I still have my doppler which i rent but at your stage you might be able to hear the heartbeat with a normal stethoscope. My doppler always makes me feel better and feeling movements all day is a great sign that all is well. The nurses told me that as long as there is a good heartbeat combined with movements, all is well.x
Miss k~ Im glad to hear that you are doing well.My bub was stubborn in the beginning too.(She always turned her back on us )At the 19 week scan she was busy playing with her hands and sucking her thumb (ultra cute!).Then at my last app,she was still loving her hands but i have a VERY active bub now.She kicks all day and starts again at 5am.My whole belly looks like im laughing, because it moves so much from side to side.Your bub might be mellow now,but im sure will give you lots of hours of entertainment towards the end. Enjoy!! LOL
Today its cold in my house and raided the wardrobe for a sweatshirt that fit...... im now sitting in my husbands sweatshirt with the sleeves rolled up.I kinda look like a fat kid who's parents bought a school jumper 3 sizes too big.Smart look i tell you!! LOL
apols for quick rant.... Building has just had a evac exercise. I'm nearly seven fricking months, trying to waddle down concrete stairs, standing out in the rain for hours, no chairs, then got to haul myself back up the stairs and someone actually tutted that I wasn't going fast enough. I tell you, I should have sat on them, then they'd have known about it!!! I am absolutely knackered (of course all the lifts were out even after the exercise had finshed) and completely out of breath. God alone knows what would have happened if it was for real. Probably crushed by selfish people. ARRRRRRGHGHGHGH!
I am constantly in pain with BH and other weird contractions
I havnt had my car for 4 weeks
I havnt had a break from DS in 3 weeks cuz we pulled him out of kindy till I have baby so he doesnt bring home a cold
Im having my first thursday night without my usual dinner with my gf and her kids..
I havnt been to the shops for 2 weeks
Im scared to go anywhere incase my waters break and Ive stopped controlling the budget and spendings because I dnt have it in me anymore and now I feel completely lost with our money and spending..
I feel completely disabled and depressed and i cant believe Im still here..
I know I sound like a whinger because technically Its only JUST my due date today but I guess I just didnt see myself going this far because its my second and I had had DS 4 days ago now in comparison! its already been so much waiting for this one and I know at worst they will induce me 10 days from now but 10 days to me atm feels like 10 years..
Sorry for the rant again hope everyone is doing well.. Ill read up a bit better later and do persies I promise..

Miss K - Hi glad that everything is going well with you.
I just got the results of my 2nd BT and my HCG level went from 800 on Sat to now being 10,700 on thursday!!!!!Nurse said it was a strong one. Is it usual for levels to rise so fast, i know they should double every 2-3 days but wow i didn't expect such a high level.
Kyrawolfe- GL hope you don't have to wait much longer.
Renee~ Hello,Congrats and welcome!!Yes its perfectly normal for the beta to rise so high.Sounds like its all looking really good for you.Do you have to go back for another beta? Will you have a scan at 6 weeks?
Kyrawolfe~ I understand your frustration but as you said your due date is only today...it just means that bub is quite comfortable where he/she is.I know thats no comfort to you.Waiting to see if you need to Be induced is no fun either.I was 13 days over with Connor and remember HATING being over.I was so incomfortable. Its a good sign though that your having bh and contractions.Bub must be getting ready to do something! Think positive.
Having no car is a pain.Im in the same boat atm and its insane.I will send labour vibes your way and pray that bub makes its entrance soon.xSorry i couldnt be more helpful. My brain isnt working too well today ...
wantbaby#2 - Thanks there was no mention of another BT or a scan this early. I do have some fairly sharp pains on my right ovary which (they stressed to me is very normal) the nurse thinks it might be a cyst, she said if the pain continues they will do a scan to be sure it is a cyst.
I am a newbie to this thread and feel like a bit of an imposter. DH and I have been TTC through ART (mainly IVF/ICSI) for 13 months and about six months naturally beforehand.
We had a FET cycle and fell preggers on the 19th April! We have since found out I'm pregnant with twins. Downside is only about three days after finding out we had a BFP I had a bleed during the middle of the night and the FS said the next morning it was probably the result of a ruptured blood vessel, which led to a large blood clot. This was one day shy of the 5-week mark. Hence we knew we had twins.
My HCG level at 4 weeks was 3163; at 5 weeks it was 23,659 and today (one day shy of six weeks) it was 42,384. I forgot to find out my E2 and progesterone levels on the other BTs but this time my E2 was 126 and progesterone 160. Mind you, I'm on an awful lot of prog support (pess & tab) and ethinyl oestradiol.
The scan today showed two sacs, two fetal poles, beginnings of two placentas and two heartbeats, although one bub is larger than the other but FS says could have just implanted one day earlier than the other. There is still blood clotting around. I was put on bed rest for one week, and now he wants me to be on bed rest for another week.
Sorry for the long post, but I am worried all the time that these babies are going to be okay. Can any of you ladies advise or perhaps have been in a similar situation and can put my mind at rest? I feel like I have already aged 10 years and just want everything to be normal.
