Thanks London Miss- we have had a couple of BFP's lately. Although did any of you feel really emotional about telling the other girls on your LT TTc thread? I was part of the IVF thread and felt really bad about telling the girls I was UTD after only one cycle. I know they were all thrilled for me but couldn't help feel a tad guilty as some of them are on their 6th +.

It's kinda emotional as well as I miss sharing things with them. I still read my old thread but don't like to update about me as I don't want to be insensitive.

Anyway- I'm due on Jan 5th. 6 weeks tomorrow!!!!!!! Have been having pre menstrual-like "twinges" the past couple of days, not really cramps. I was told to expect them while on the progesterone pessaries but they're still freaking me out a little. The last thing I want to feel like at the moment is like AF is going to arrive! Made me do another POAS last night just for reassurance and test line is def darker than control line and it came up first, so feeling a bit better.

Don't worry about the cramps - someone on here told me they are just 'refurbishment' cramps, your uterus going "oh hello what's this then....". And IVF is a game of luck/ statistics/ timing and numbers, so don't feel too bad. I took great comfort from the fact that other people were getting pregnant - after all if, say, two out of 8 of you are going to get pregnant each month, there's no reason why it can't be you. Most LTTTC only get irritated with people who come off the pill and get pregnant four nanoseconds later and then saying heartstoppingly insensitive things like "oh my husband just has to look at me to get me pregnant" so I wouldn't feel guilty at all!

Renee - have you considered acupuncture? I went throughout my pregnancy, and although I didn't have MS I know a number of women who did and found that acupuncture helped.

Brunette - i'm hoping they'll say girl! At our 20 week scan they said girl, but then at our 28 week scan our OB thought it was a boy, so I was a tad confused. I don't actually care either way, but given that most of the time we've thought it was a girl and bought girl clothes and have bonded with a girl I need to do some serious readjusting if it is a boy so i'd rather find out now. We'll see what they say tomorrow...

Glenny - CONGRATULATIONS and welcome!!! It's so nice to see so many fellow LTTTCers coming over to this thread, it was pretty quiet there for a while. And I know what you mean about feeling guilty - I fell pregnant on my first transfer, although it was our second cycle and I was the same. I'm sure you've found though that everyone has been terribly happy and supportive for you, and you can post away here to your heart's content cos we've all been there too...!!

LondonMiss - I do like the sound of home delivery for the shopping!! I can't complain though, DH and I ALWAYS do the shopping together and he pushes the trolley and puts all the groceries in/out of the car so I really don't have to do anything. And I couldn't imagine shopping without a car, the trams are bad enough without having to take bags of groceries on as well!!

Brunette hope you are doing well on your bed rest and finding things to keep you company, lots of DVD's or books perhaps?
LondonMiss Congrats on finally being a full time mummy! You lucky thing. I totally hear you on the inconsiderate parents not having some plain common courtesy when there are others around. Totally frustrates me! LOL on the sexy Coles delivery man..
Wantbaby#2 i too cant wait to set up the nursery. Shame about the crack on the cot. Hopefully Bertini get back to you soon.
Wishes Yay on having a definite blue bundle! A babymoon sounds amazing!! I would love to have a short break away too but we have a furbaby so it always makes it harder.
Renee hope you can get the morning sickness sorted.
glenny welcome and congrats. Dont feel bad at all. I used to love hearing success stories because it made me realise that it WOULD happen to me too one day, just a matter of time, it would give me hope. I too used to do the HPT and loved seeing the super dark test line.

No one has mentioned it in here yet so not sure if you have heard but congrats to Kyra on the birth of her baby boy Here is what she wrote on facebook:

"tristan julian was born on 3rd may weighing 8.9pounds! all went perfectly and hes been perfect ever since! our lil family is finally complete!! "

Cant believe its been a week since i last posted. Time is just flying by!! Had Obs appointment this morning and all is well. Was in and out in 5 minutes if that. He checked my belly and we heard the heartbeat and he said since i have no quesitons and no problems, keep doing what im doing as everything is perfect. Back in four weeks then will be on fortnightly visits after that!! WOW!

Welcome, Glenny. I've only recently come across, too, being a bit scared after hearing the news that I was finally pregnant after about five tries. But as everyone else has said, it's nothing to feel guilty about at all if you fall on your first cycle. I still follow the LTTTC thread, too, to see how everyone is doing. Looks like Leabie might be joining us soon - and maybe KitKat?

Lise, FX that your scan tomorrow confirms you are having a girl, then, as you've already bought some girls clothes and have bonded to the idea of having a DD!

Paula, I am getting used to bed rest, especially now that we've moved into our new house and I can still jump online, watch TV and read pregnancy books. It's all for a good cause, hey? Great news that your obs appointment went smoothly, too.

Londonmiss, I need to look into online supermarket delivery, too. I think I'll try Coles now instead of Woolies

    loverlies!

A big to all the newbies, it's so great to see some more LTTTC success stories!

Can't remember who asked but I never had MS, just some slight nausea weeks 6-8 (mind you I was stuffing my face every 2-3hrs so who knows)

And looking forward to seeing some of you cross over to the parenting thread before too long! Good luck with your births!

DS is doing brilliantly, little guzzleguts has gained 2.2kg in 7 weeks . Speaking of which, better go, he is waiting for a feed and chewing on my arm and I fear he may just chew straight through

I'm quite sure I've got loads missing here and still haven't looked at the colours, but that's a work in progress. No disrespect at all, but I've deleted all the ladies who had babies before I joined the thread else it gets SOOOOOO long. if you let me know changes and gaps and stuff, I'll delete this post and put the correct one in later. I have a horrid feeling I've missed a recent baby but can't for the life of me remember who!!! So sorry, blame baby brain

[see post below for amended list]

KitKat - Congrats on your BFP!!!

Lise - hope you are feeling better today, it must have been one hell of a shock.

Londonmiss - don't feel bad i don't live in brisbane either! so no your not that sad

BOC - Hi i don't have private health so i am seeing a GP - Abbie Bingham (she is fab!) and she actually sends her patients to jillian for our scans, so i will be seeing her in a couple of weeks. I will be delivering at the John.

Miss K, Brunette, CK77, mitf, gleenyC and anyone i missed (sorry)hope you ladies are well.

AFM - I saw my new doc today and loved her, she was fab. I also had a dating scan done today so was able to see our blob for the first time and see its heart beat which was so magical. Everything looks great she said and my dates were right. So now i won't feel so guilty if i buy some little things here and there!

Welcome Glenny! I got one of those lucky BFP on 1st attempt and definitely felt guilty announcing my news in the LTTTC thread but everyone was super supportive and told me I was silly for feeling guilty.

MissK - got a 'happy mum's day' from friends of ours that know I am pregnant, but not from DH himself. Bloody men.

Lise, thinking about the lack of MS, I am having fortnightly acupuncture that I have continued after the EPU/ET, so you might be right there with acupuncture helping. Good luck with your scan tomorrow too - how exciting!! I'm definitely aiming to not know the sex of ours. If we are lucky enough to get to baby#2 then maybe we will find out.

Brunette, glad to hear you are settled in the new house and that DH is still being nice and attentive. So happy that you heard the heartbeats again after the new bleeding, what a relief. I really wish I could get in to Bob as well, instead of Titiz next door. I doubt we would EVER get a 1hr appt with Titiz, he just wants to rush me out the door!!
What are the new baby books that you've checked out, I'm really bored with the two I have and they are totally different. One tells me the little munchkin is 1cm and the other says 2.5cm!

DH and I are heading up to Port Douglas and Cairns for a week tomorrow, his brother is getting hitched. FS has given us the 'no sex til week 12' talk due to the spotting I've had (which has now stopped!!) so unfortunately the trip wont be as great as DH was hoping - oh well ;-) Have so much running around tomorrow morning before we jump on the plane, have to put my gorgeous furbaby in a boarding kennel and there will be tears (I'm emotional enough as it is without having to say goodbye to my baby for a week).

So I had a look online at a few hospitals here in Brisbane, and based on websites North West Private at Everton Park seems to be really well equipped with spas and double headed massage showers in the birthing suites, and subject to availability double beds in the maternity ward. Any idea ladies on when I should start speaking to hospitals to book in? They have their classes that need to be booked by 15weeks so I have a bit of time up my sleeve there.

Hopefully I'll have wifi or broadband up in Port Douglas so I'll be able to jump on here more than I have been recently.

    Take care everyone!

    Chrissy

CK77- Thanks for the welcome. I see you and I are both with Dr Titiz! I have mixed feelings about him as well. I only went with him because when I was originally referred for FS Bob was a four month waiting list and I wasn't going to wait that long.

I think Titiz could use some work with his bedside manner for sure (But that's what Louise and Kris are for) but I have to say, I think technically he's very good. He did my lap surgeries and drilling as well and it's all made a big difference to my hormone levels. (I have PCOS as well as Endo)

If you really want to change over to Bob, I don't see why you can't. You might have to wait but you could prob see him by the 19th week scan and just keep seeing Dr Titiz in the mean time? When we started seeing him for the IVF, I wanted to change but I have changed my mind since.

I've been looking at North West as well. It's nice and handy for us and my family and every time I've been there (surgeries and IVF) the nurses and staff have been amazing! I'm not sure when you have to organise everything. I might ask Dr Titiz on Monday when I have my scan. (Actually, I'll ask Louise- she'll prob be more help.
