    loverlies!

A big to all the newbies, it's so great to see some more LTTTC success stories!

Can't remember who asked but I never had MS, just some slight nausea weeks 6-8 (mind you I was stuffing my face every 2-3hrs so who knows)

And looking forward to seeing some of you cross over to the parenting thread before too long! Good luck with your births!

DS is doing brilliantly, little guzzleguts has gained 2.2kg in 7 weeks . Speaking of which, better go, he is waiting for a feed and chewing on my arm and I fear he may just chew straight through

I'm quite sure I've got loads missing here and still haven't looked at the colours, but that's a work in progress. No disrespect at all, but I've deleted all the ladies who had babies before I joined the thread else it gets SOOOOOO long. if you let me know changes and gaps and stuff, I'll delete this post and put the correct one in later. I have a horrid feeling I've missed a recent baby but can't for the life of me remember who!!! So sorry, blame baby brain

[see post below for amended list]

Hi LondonMiss - Wow, what a list. My EDD is 24 December 2010. Don't know the gender cause it's way too early, and in my ticker I refer to the twins as Double Trouble (My DH's idea).

Welcome Glenny! I got one of those lucky BFP on 1st attempt and definitely felt guilty announcing my news in the LTTTC thread but everyone was super supportive and told me I was silly for feeling guilty.

MissK - got a 'happy mum's day' from friends of ours that know I am pregnant, but not from DH himself. Bloody men.

Lise, thinking about the lack of MS, I am having fortnightly acupuncture that I have continued after the EPU/ET, so you might be right there with acupuncture helping. Good luck with your scan tomorrow too - how exciting!! I'm definitely aiming to not know the sex of ours. If we are lucky enough to get to baby#2 then maybe we will find out.

Brunette, glad to hear you are settled in the new house and that DH is still being nice and attentive. So happy that you heard the heartbeats again after the new bleeding, what a relief. I really wish I could get in to Bob as well, instead of Titiz next door. I doubt we would EVER get a 1hr appt with Titiz, he just wants to rush me out the door!!
What are the new baby books that you've checked out, I'm really bored with the two I have and they are totally different. One tells me the little munchkin is 1cm and the other says 2.5cm!

DH and I are heading up to Port Douglas and Cairns for a week tomorrow, his brother is getting hitched. FS has given us the 'no sex til week 12' talk due to the spotting I've had (which has now stopped!!) so unfortunately the trip wont be as great as DH was hoping - oh well ;-) Have so much running around tomorrow morning before we jump on the plane, have to put my gorgeous furbaby in a boarding kennel and there will be tears (I'm emotional enough as it is without having to say goodbye to my baby for a week).

So I had a look online at a few hospitals here in Brisbane, and based on websites North West Private at Everton Park seems to be really well equipped with spas and double headed massage showers in the birthing suites, and subject to availability double beds in the maternity ward. Any idea ladies on when I should start speaking to hospitals to book in? They have their classes that need to be booked by 15weeks so I have a bit of time up my sleeve there.

Hopefully I'll have wifi or broadband up in Port Douglas so I'll be able to jump on here more than I have been recently.

    Take care everyone!

CK77- Thanks for the welcome. I see you and I are both with Dr Titiz! I have mixed feelings about him as well. I only went with him because when I was originally referred for FS Bob was a four month waiting list and I wasn't going to wait that long.

I think Titiz could use some work with his bedside manner for sure (But that's what Louise and Kris are for) but I have to say, I think technically he's very good. He did my lap surgeries and drilling as well and it's all made a big difference to my hormone levels. (I have PCOS as well as Endo)

If you really want to change over to Bob, I don't see why you can't. You might have to wait but you could prob see him by the 19th week scan and just keep seeing Dr Titiz in the mean time? When we started seeing him for the IVF, I wanted to change but I have changed my mind since.

I've been looking at North West as well. It's nice and handy for us and my family and every time I've been there (surgeries and IVF) the nurses and staff have been amazing! I'm not sure when you have to organise everything. I might ask Dr Titiz on Monday when I have my scan. (Actually, I'll ask Louise- she'll prob be more help.

Chrissy, I saw Bob this morning and thought of you as I walked past your dr's rooms. I am lucky to be able to see Bob as I was seeing him before changing to a different FS who got me UTD. In answer to some of your questions, I got some info on a lot of it this morning. You're right you can book into antenatal classes from 15 weeks onwards. Maybe we could book into the same antenatal class, as Bob delivers at North West, too. You are so organised already checking out the rooms. If you have to have a c-section, I wonder whether you get to go back to those double bed rooms with spas? Might check out the website, too. Re good books, I really liked What to Expect When You're Expecting (which I have read cover to cover, which Kris says is the only person she knows who has done that) plus I'm on my second multiples book. She told me no more reading and no more googling because it's more horror stories than good on Google - much to the relief of my DH! Enjoy your holiday in Port Douglas and Cairns. I'm the same as you - no sex until 12 weeks. They'll be all right - men!

Hey Glenny, funny that you're also seeing CK's doc and probably going to deliver at North West? Maybe we could all do the same antenatal class?

AFM, as I said, I saw Bob this morning and had another scan, 7 weeks and 5 days today. Still about 10mm blood around, but both twins are growing. One is slightly larger than the other: 16mm and 14mm and apparently you can see the beginnings of the placenta, little arm buds and egg yolk - at least bob could but we have a family snap now. Lots of info given to me by Kris about when to book in scans for Downs etc so bit to absorb but feel a lot better and more reassured now. I need to get onto a good iron supplement as anaemia can be an issue with multiples. Still confined to home till week 12 but Bob said I can sit in front of the computer and on the lounge - and I can even go out once a week with mum if I'm in a wheelchair to the shops to have a look around (really to claim back money from Medicare!) so I am very happy about that.

    Big shout out to everyone!

Brunette and CK- That's so funny that we will all be at NorthWest (maybe around the same time.....)

I'm definately up for booking into the same antenatal classes! Would be nice to already know someone there.

Hullo all. First of all, how bollocking freezing is it???? Serves me right for buying my maternity wear when I was 12 weeks. Had my 30 week visit today, now have visits at 33 weeks (doc), 36 (midw), 38 (doc), 40 (midw) and 41 (doc) weeks. Thought I'd share that as no one else had told me it, v frustratingly. Started my antenatal classes last night, how hilariously middle class and touchy feely that was. I nearly punched a man who kept saying things like "we're not having pain relief". No, you aren't no. That's because you're a man and aren't squeezing a 10cm bone mass out of your sexual organs. WE????? WE?????? jesus wept.

Oh sweetheart - I hope you are ok. I think I'm right is saying you don't mind having a boy other than you've got used to the idea of having a girl, but even so it must be a bit of a swerve ball. Thinking of you xxxx

    Hi Ladies,

I have been MIA for quiet a while now and have been meaning to jump back into this tread for a couple of weeks. Firstly a huge congratulations to the ladies who have babies over the last 6 weeks or so!! I hope you have been enjoying those precious few weeks. Also, congratulations and a big welcome to all the new ladies who have recently celebrated their BFPs!!

Life has been a bit hectic at my end, I dropped out of the thread the week or so before we headed off on our baby moon. All available computing time was spent on last minute trip plans. We had a fantastic time in Japan. Such a clean and efficient country, and the Japanese were so friendly and helpful. Travelling pregnant was a little tough... hubbie carried the bags but the feet still hurt by the afternoon. I really missed a glass of wine with dinner...normally it doesn't bother me but it is so much tougher when you are on holidays and dinning out every night. We have slowly been getting back into the swing of things and getting organised for the bub since we got back... I can't believe it is now under 8 weeks to go!

It will take me a little while to catch up and get to know the newbies, although I have seen Lise and Wishes who and they have filled me in on a few of the going on in here.

Lise - hope you are feeling better tomorrow. I will give you a call then. It must be a bit of a shock, although better now than when your bundle arrives...... everything will no doubt fall into place between now and then xox

Miss K, I am getting used to the bed rest - and it's not too bad now that my FS said I could move downstairs to the lounge and also sit behind a computer and even go out once a week if mum can take me to the shopping centre in a wheelchair. Oh, the things I now look forward to! Hee hee. I love our new place. Just frustrating that I can't get in and put everything away where I want it to be and tidy it up, give it a woman's touch. My DH has boxes everywhere and has this amazing knack for leaving them right in the most obvious path! What the? Good news for you about the placenta placement and being able to feel the bub kicking soon!

Lise, sorry to hear that they messed up the gender. Any chance you can take back the girls clothes already bought? Not that I'm sure that is what is top of mind, as you said you had bonded to the idea of having a girl. Hope you're doing okay.

AFM, I am really peeved about my private health insurance. I am going to try to clear things up tomorrow when mum takes me to Medibank Private. I have been insured on what I thought was top-level for about 2 years, but because I am on a single membership and my fiance has his own insurance, if I have more than one child (god willing, my twins will be born H&H) then the second child is not covered, as I suppose it is technically considered a family and not single insurance. Honestly, why did they think I upgraded to cover pregnancy if the child is not covered once born - or if you are having multiples. It's such a rip-off this private health insurance. If we're not covered for this because they say it's pre-existing or something, I am going to go right off tomorrow after all the money we've been paying. My DH wanted to join us up on the one fund a little while ago but I had really good benefits for extras and things. Man, I am so annoyed!

Oh Lise you poor thing! Hope you are feeling a little brighter today. I know it's not the same but can I tell you, as someone who was dead-set certain they were having a girl (even though it was unconfirmed) I was a little shocked for oh about 5 mins when I found out (after I came out of my drug-induced stupor that is) but now you know what? I'm GLAD I have a little boy, he is so beautiful that it doesn't even matter anymore. He is healthy and he is here in my arms and that's all that matters. And as someone said to me, boys always look after their mums! I know you must feel crushed though, but hopefully you will have the strength to get past this one.

Renee: fellow Novocastrian! Which Ob are you seeing? I saw Jillian Spilsbury and she was AMAZING! Can't rave enough about her. Will you be delivering at Newcastle Private? If so PM me if you want any info!

Big to all you other lovely babymamas!

Hello, I know what you mean Brunette. My DH works for an insurance company (that doesn't do health insurance) and he is mystified how they manage to sell products that are basically useless - they don't cover precisely the sort of thing you want them for, but give you absolutely pointless "freebies" like massage or acupuncture, for which it would be massively cheaper to buy directly yourself. But I'm obviously British and a bit dim so can't understand the whole medicare + insurance thing....

I am most miffed, I have just realised that everyone on this blog is meeting up and seeing each other... am I the only sad git sat here on my own???

    Hi Ladies,

I've been on the LTTTC thread for the past month, and am another one who just today found out that I've gotten my BFP on my first round of IVF! I can totally feel the guilt some of you were mentioning (sorry -- I just read through the whole thread so I'd be up-to-date) because I felt pretty bad giving my news in the LTTTC threads after not being on them for so long (although we'd been trying naturally for the past 6 years so it's not like I'm *that* lucky).

Anyway, first just wanted to say "hi" to those of you I recognize from the other threads (Glenny, Brunette, CK77, Renee) and to those of you I'm "meeting" for the first time. I hope you don't mind my joining your group.

Secondly, I know literally nothing about pregnancy since, after so many years of disappointment, I've made a policy not to read any pregnancy books until actually expecting. (I guess it's time to finally go out and buy "What to Expect When You're Expecting"!) So can any of you please let me know how my beta level (260 at 16 dpo) stacks up? The nurse said it was good, but I'd love some reassurance. I have a follow-up BT in a week then my 1st scan in 2 weeks. I can't wait -- it will really be good to see a heartbeat and make this more real.

    Thanks!

    Kitkat72
